It could be addictions, affairs, financial exploitations. It doesn't matter. Just lies. He treats her perfectly but if she ever knew. Then she wakes up and figures it all out. He had not capability of truly loving, ever being remorseful and without self control. He could act and hurt without any regard to anyone's feelings. And when she figures it out,the one who was totally devoted will make it so that he wishes he never met her. He picks the women with the best traits for a relationship. If only she had given her heart and time to someone who was healthy mentally... They could have had it all. Instead she wasted her precious years with him, never being clued in on his other life/lives and she is going to make him pay. I dedicate this song to every woman who loved or loves a sociopath.

Love this cover of the song! When i first listened to it i couldn't tell whether it was meant to be a happy song of expressing love or a sad song about telling someone who doesn't love you, that you love them. I now believe that these lyrics are so well written and powerful that you can really make them any emotion you want. At the moment adele's version suits my situation better but in years to come i could also use it as a love song. Beautiful lyrics and adele has an amazing voice.

I acc adore this song and i love it soo much. I could listen to this song over and over again and not get bored ... I know the lyrics off by heart and i'm happy too see people loving/liking adele the haters are just jelous i do not see why people should hate her coz of her weight or her voice doesnt matter bout what she looks like or what she weighs she is a loving and bubbly person from what i have heard. She has plenty of friends and her voice dont even get me started all i can say is
