The Weeknd – Can't Feel My Face lyrics
[Verse 1]
And I know she'll be the death of me, at least we'll both be numb
And she'll always get the best of me, the worst is yet to come
But at least we'll both be beautiful and stay forever young

This I know, yeah, this I know

[Pre-Chorus]
She told me, "Don't worry about it"
She told me, "Don't worry no more"
We both know we can't go without it
She told me you'll never be alone, oh, oh, woo

[Chorus]
I can't feel my face when I'm with you
But I love it, but I love it, oh
I can't feel my face when I'm with you
But I love it, but I love it, oh

[Verse 2]
And I know she'll be the death of me, at least we'll both be numb
And she'll always get the best of me, the worst is yet to come
All the misery was necessary when we're deep in love
This I know, girl, I know

[Pre-Chorus]
She told me, "Don't worry about it"
She told me, "Don't worry no more"

We both know we can't go without it
She told me you'll never be alone, oh, oh, woo

[Chorus]
I can't feel my face when I'm with you
But I love it, but I love it, oh
I can't feel my face when I'm with you
But I love it, but I love it, oh
I can't feel my face when I'm with you
But I love it, but I love it, oh
I can't feel my face when I'm with you
But I love it, but I love it, oh

[Pre-Chorus]
She told me, "Don't worry about it"
She told me, "Don't worry no more"
We both know we can't go without it
She told me you'll never be alone, oh, oh, woo

[Chorus]
I can't feel my face when I'm with you
But I love it, but I love it, oh
I can't feel my face when I'm with you
But I love it, but I love it, oh
I can't feel my face when I'm with you
But I love it, but I love it, oh
I can't feel my face when I'm with you
But I love it, but I love it, oh

This song is about the use of cocaine. Abel Tesfaye makes it clear through his music that drugs are definitely something he is into, and this song does not differ. This song specifically is about the use of cocaine. Cocaine is a numbing agent. He says specifically in the opening lines, "And I know she'll be the death of me, at least we'll both be numb". While this can be mistaken for talking about a woman, as we are frustrating beings, this is more applicable to the drug. He sings, "I can't feel my face when I'm with you/But I love it". Abel is physically numb when he is on the drug (drug being "you"), but he considers this a good thing.

Although it's clear he's got experience with cocaine use, it's unclear whether he's singing about it as a primary subject, or expressing its similarities to the joy and pain of his relationship. Judging from some of the female crowd reaction on the video, I would say that he's suggesting that being with his woman takes his to the extremes of both pain and euphoric pleasure (which causes him to stay) despite all of the negative aspects. Even when things are thrown at him, he seems to dodge them with utterly no reaction or care in the world suggesting his (numbness). Dying young could mean that it ultimately ends in disaster for both parties because no matter hot bad the relationship, they are both addicted to some element of it.

I going in a new direction here. I say it is about a guy in love with a woman who is addicted to. Wait for it. Botox injections! She wants to look forever young and she has convinced some dweeb, puppy-dog guy to get Botox as well. Boom! Head explodes! Discussion over! :-).

Wait a minute. Woman trying to break a man down, but the man enjoys it anyway? This has Taylor Swift written all over it, or maybe it's his cocaine addiction. I'm not sure, if it's either one. I mean the song isn't bad, but the lyrics actually confuse me. I would like to see an interview revealing what the song is about.

How is it that a song completely about cocaine use (or something completely sexual, either) can be out there for little kids (like the 4 yr. old boy who sang and performed this song on "Ellen!") to hear and sing as if it's as innocent as "Mary had a little lamb?!" My parents would have NEVER allowed me to listen to that crap when I was young! Parents today are so selfish and irresponsible, it makes me sick. In fact, this song makes me sick! Too bad I love the beat and melody of it, though. I just wish the lyrics were positive.

The songs about the fact that he uses cocaine and how he knows that it will kill him eventually the line I can't feel my face comes from the effects of the drug itself. Even though he knows it will kill him he continues to use and abuse it. Its actually quite sad if you think about it.

I think this is about a woman who when he sees spends time taking cocaine. This has become their way of life. He enjoys it but in the back of his mind understands that this is no good for him. "At least we will both be beautiful and stay forever young" this associate with drugs and the high and maybe they will die young. Maybe it's contradictory song in itself. He knows it's not good but at the same time he is convincing himself to carry on. "She told me don't worry" shows the lady he is referring to is a bad influence as they both are to each other.

She'll get the best of me. She tells him don't worry about all the problems that they have together. But when he is with her he loves it just like when men say I hate to see you go, but I love to watch you leave. They hate when they break up, but love to see them walk away so that they can look at the behind. He just loves being around her so much that everything fades away! He forgets everything else and he can't feel anything because he loves her so much. Just like when a women says "when I am with you everything fades away and she forgets all the problems that she had, has,or was worried about. When they spend time together you can't feel, think, or worry about anything else in the world. She always gets the best side of him. They both can't go without being together" because it says that "you will never be alone!"
