Tool – Fear Inoculum lyrics
Long overdue
I exhale you
I opened up to you
Venom in mania

Now, contagion
I exhale you

The deceiver says, he says
You belong to me
You don't wanna breathe the light of the others
Fear the light
Fear the breath
Fear the others for eternity
But I hear them now inhale the clarity
Hear the venom, the venom in
What you say inoculated

Bless this immunity
Bless this immunity
Bless this immunity

Exhale, expel
Recast my tale
Read my allegorical elegy

All that I'm to do
Calculating steps away from you
My own
Growing through
Delusion from mania

Exhale, expel
Recast my tale
Weave my allegorical elegy

All control
You poison
You spectacle

Exorcise the spectacle
Exorcise the malady
Exorcise the disparate
Poison for eternity
Purge me and evacuate
The venom and the fear that binds me

Unveil now
Lift away
I see you

Chased away
A long time

This is like 46&2 pt 2. Its about taking on the ego and defeating something internal...most likely fear or pride based on the title. ..The "deceiver" is the ego. The antagonist fighting the ego to exorcise fear or pride....Think of the movie "Revolver". A common these for tool songs.

Wow the last to meanings are by people with way too much time on their hands. If I were to buy into these meanings it would be the first one or possibly the second. Perhaps I'll ask the folks who PR for the band and if I get a reply I'll be back to let you all know what I find.

I think this may be more of a middle finger to the deep state. The final verse makes me think this (most of the song actually, but final verse nail in coffin for me) " Unveil now, lift away. I see you running. Deceiver, chased away. A long time coming" = Lifting the veil on the entertainment industry and Project MK Ultra/ Project Monarch (Research both. Remember Rosanne Barr's comment MK Ultra is real?) and exposing the tactics they use to manipulate your mind (Also see lyrics to Cold's "Kill the music industry") through hidden messages, dual meanings, and symbolism/imagery. I think that after all their years in the business they have finally had it and want out. If you've noticed, there has been a rash of high profile people getting pinched for heinous crimes (Human/Child trafficking, sexual deviancy, Satanic worship, Drug trafficking. Think Harvey Weinstein, Jeffrey Epstein, Kevin Spacey, Ed Buck, Etc..) All these crimes are perpetrated by high profile people unbeknownst to us, the general public. I'm not saying ANY band member is guilty of ANY of these acts, but what we do know is that Tools music is heavily influenced by the Occult (Symbolism, imagery, rituals) who truly runs the entertainment business. Also Danny and Maynard have discussed this during different interviews.
In short, this was my take on Fear Inoculum (song) I've also notice some similarities in APC's music as well, where they are calling out the DS for their tactics on "Eat the Elephant"
Could it be that Maynard and the boys have had enough and just want to live their lives as regular musicians, beholden to nobody but their fans? I guess we'll have to wait and see

Theme against the relentless and undeniable power of the synagogue of Satan. Without them we have no entertainment. They have used words letters and numbers against us for thousands of years. They even use the Bible as a playbook against you sheep.

Tool knows it's time for you to wake up.

Educate yourselves! The English language has many secrets.

This is a Trump Derangement Syndrome Song. Most all of Tool's songs center around current issue politics and have become much less veiled in the Trump era. Most of the industrial bands have this same issue including Nine Inch Nails, rapidly losing their talents and minds as we move forward away from communism.

Tool has always flirted with Christian themes without fully embracing them. Obviously, the deceiver is Satan. And Jews, being the "Synagogue of Satan" according to the bible, are responsible for countless poisons, maladies, contagions, and horrendous deceptions against humanity. This song is about expelling the Jews from our lives and our nations so we can collectively exhale their treachery and lies once and for all.
