Sour Alley – Sea Of Apathy lyrics

Some sand fills up the valley, and the river then takes it down to the sea
Ends up as salt in the sea
Young love fills up like a mountain and the hot dry sun wears it down to the sea
Ends up as tears in the sea

Won’t you love me? Don’t you care anything about me?
Only love me. Only worry about life without me.
You better love me cuz real soon we’ll both be floatin’ dead in the sea
The Sea of Apathy.

One true love to walk with, two true lips to caress me

I wanted one love to walk with, I wanted for her to be with me
Please dadgum her apathy

CHORUS
BREAK

Help me I’m drowning. Someone help me I’m falling in love again

And she’s an arson with fingers of flame burning deep inside of me
She’s a sea of apathy

The opening tune and bass line had been in my he for along time with the theme of humans never really evolving out of the sea but still housing apathy seemingly without intent. Sometimes we love and sometimes we simply don't care as if we never really choose our loves. Of course this is inconvenient to those who love us without any loveback. There are few things as emotionally drowning as disappointment and unrequited love. That want seems simple enough and we might even beg for a fraudulent love knowing full well it will be insincere but we can't see life without that person.
