This song is about him and a girl ending a relationship, badly. She tells his friends many things about the relationship that weren't true, she's trying to make him look bad and make herself look good. But what he knows is that she cuts herself, and she isn't happy about the break up either. So he's telling her to tell his friends the truth, about the cutting and stop lying about the break up. That's why he says "tell them what you think about the way you handles everything" he wants her to tell them how much it has hurt her (the break up), he won't tell them on his own so she should just tell his friends the truth. His friends are asking him, and he is keeping quiet as they just hear her version.

Well, I feel his song is about a couple. The relationship was going great, and he was extremely happy with it, but she was slowly fading. She began feeling suicidal, and eventually threw herself off a bridge in a night of extreme hate ("at the bottom of the ocean, there's a place for you and me). The man was devastated and wished he could have given her everything("you gave me the time of my life and cut like a knife to the bone. And I won't say a word and i'll give all the things you want and I need") but in the end, he was broken too, and just wishes she would come back. But because it's final, he simply just tells the girl he's a bit disappointed and asks her to say to his friends who have ended their lives the same way.
