Lord Of The Rings – Arwen's Song lyrics
With a sigh
You turn away
With a deepening heart
No words to say

You will find
That the world has changed forever

The trees are now turning from green to gold
And the sun is now fading
I wish I could hold you closer

With a sigh
You turn away
With a deepening heart
No words to say

You will find
That the world has changed forever

The trees are now turning from green to gold
And the sun is now fading
I wish I could hold you closer

The time of year the fellowship sets out is Autumn. The time of the elves is as a close and they are leaving. Arwen is faced with a choice between parting from Aragorn forever as she sails to the undying lands or becoming a mortal and spending the rest of his life with him only to die herself. So these things are in the Autumn of their time, hence the references to leaves turning from green to gold. However, the gold represents also the gold of love and marriange. Ultimately, Arwen chooses a mortal life because of the love she has for Aragorn.
