It's we the people
Who spawned this rage
The violent people
Who dawned this age

Who dawned this age

Convulse and kill
Tremble, blood spills
Ruination
Our divination

Caustic are the ties that bind
Like barbed wire, taut and fine
Tied around the wrists that
Plead
Crimson for the dark to feed

Why can't we see
What's come to be
We broke the lifeblood
We're drowned in death's flood
We're drowned in death's flood

Convulse and kill
Tremble, blood spills
Ruination
Our divination

Caustic are the ties that bind
Like barbed wire, taut and fine
Tied around the wrists that
Plead
Crimson for the dark to feed

Caustic are the ties that bind

It surges through us all
A lack of self-control
A sighing, vacant soul

Plunged headfirst in the deep
Nothing for us to keep
Only sounding a weep

Can you help me find my way
I've been lost for so long I don't
Even known where it went wrong
Can you help me
Can you help me

Find strength to armor me
To face my enemies
A whispered, draining plea

Can you help me find my way
I've been lost for so long I don't
Even known where it went wrong
Can you help me
Can you help me

Caustic are the ties that bind
Like barbed wire, taut and fine
Tied around the wrists that
Plead
Crimson for the dark to feed

Caustic are the ties that bind

Caustic are the ties that bind makes much more sense compared to caustic are the ties that bleed. I always thought it was bleed and did not understand because its about being to cautious, hence why bind is a better lyric. To much caution, can cause harm, solitary man due to his anxious hands.

I also thought it was "tied around the wrists that bleed"... Cause that makes much more sense! I always sing it that way cause i prefer it. :p

It talks about how the human race has given into the influences of lucifer ever since we were created and how are lack of self control is that we havnt made a stand as one to see past the tricks and just have faith. This song is about asking god for help. To give us strength to make a stand and face our fears.

It's not about god, not one bit. Seriously, religious people need to finally leave the internet. It's the one place non-religious people go to get away from you. I mean seriously, you obviously use the web, haven't you ever noticed this? I would hope you actually go out and learn about the band, if anything they are agnostic Deists at worst.
