Three Days Grace – Someone Who Cares lyrics

Every street in this city
Is the same to me
Everyone's got a place to be
But there's no room for me
Am I to blame?
When the guilt and the shame hang over me
Like a dark cloud,
That chases you down in the pouring rain.

It's so hard to find someone
Who cares about you,
But it's easy enough to find someone
Who looks down on you

Why is it so hard to find someone
Who cares about you?
When it's easy enough to find someone
Who looks down on you

It's not what it seems
When you're not on the scene
There's a chill in the air
But there's people like me
That nobody sees so nobody cares

Why is it so hard to find someone
Who cares about you?
When it's easy enough to find someone
Who looks down on you
Why is it so hard to find someone
Who can keep it together
When you've come undone?
Why is it so hard to find someone
Who cares about you?

I swear this time it won't turn out
The same 'cause now I've got myself to blame
And you'll know where we'll end up
On the streets that is easy enough
To find someone who looks down on you

Why is it so hard to find someone
Who cares about you?
When it's easy enough to find someone
Who looks down on you
Why is it so hard to find someone
Who can keep it together
When you've come undone?
Why is it so hard to find someone
Who cares about you?

Someone who cares describes me. I mean it probably describes a lot of people, but I'm 14, and ever since my dad left me when I was two, I have felt as if no one cares about me. It's easy to put on a show, and tell people your ok, while inside your bleeding, and you feel like ur nothing, and never will be anything. Every time I hear this song, it reminds me of what hs happened to me many times over.

This song explains itself. It's so hard to find someone who will not discriminate you for you. In the first verse it tells how it doesn't matter where you go, all of that hatred will still be there. Then you begin to blame yourswelf for what's happening. You begin to wonder if it's your fault. In the second verse, it tells about how you don't really know what's happening unless it's happening to you. And it also says that you're not the only one. And it happens world wide. Why can't we all care enough about each other to stop stuff like this? Why can't we pay enough attention to our surroundings to where we don't have to have a song to pay any attention to it? To actually think about stopping it?

The song is exlpaining itself in the chourus. It talks about being alone because people easily look down on you for being different, having a different race, skin color, and etc. To better understand the song, imagine yourslef as a new student, because of this nobody respects you, nobody "sees" you, and nobody cares. It talks about the difficulty of finding a special someone who will be with you every step of the way, someone who respects you.
