When i hear this song, i actually think of my ex-best friend
when we first met, we were the best friends you ever saw, we trusted each other. But after a while, things started to go downhill. He fell insanely in love with me, began clinging onto me for dear life and wouldn't let go no matter what i said. He thought he needed me to be happy. I think he was the first person i ever really hated. He didn't hear a word i said to him and continued to insist that we should at least try, that i just might develop the feelings for him that he had for me. I already knew what the outcome would be. I'd already tried to be his friend, and it didn't work. I know that if people actually read this, they're probably gonna thumbs down and whatever, but i'm free to express what my personal meaning of the song is ;)

Hmm, i get the naruto and sasuke friendship thing, but i think it's more about a bf-and-gf thing. Something similar happend to my bf and myself... We sort of fell apart.

I think it's about how a bf and gf broke up and the girl blamed the boy 4 not trying, when he did try but he just couldn't find it in himself to make things work cause he was over her. To me he has a mutual feeling cause he doesn't care about her anymore but he didn't end their relationship on purpose

It does sound like a boy-friend girl-friend thing, but it also sounds sorta like a naruto sasuke kinda thing, u know, sasuke doesnt give a shiz bout naruto or an of em anymore, in fact he almost killed em all, and prob wants to still, and will for the next while

For some reson,when i hear this song, it reminds of my old friend ethan. And how we used to be realy great friends, and now he blames me for the end of the friendship...

As most have said it sounds like hes talking about a realtionship that was great but somewhere along the lines things started falling apart and the girl was blaming him for it. But as a few others have said i beleive it could also mean that but for just just 2 really close friends, and they grow apart and he is blamed for it. I also think that to the writer of the song it means something way different then what we say, that there is some hidden meaning in his words as there is in a lot of songs.

Everytime i hear this song, i think of naruto and sasuke of off the anime naruto... Like you guys, i think in some cases it could be a relationship between a guy and a girl. But i also think it could be about 2 friends that have come a long way on a journey or a quest, gotten into a tough spot, and are starting to lose hope in one another. It sounds cheesy, but anyone who watches naruto will probably understand what i'm saying. ~falloutwolf96
