Do you think about
Everything you've been through
You never thought you'd be so depressed
Are you wondering
Is it life or death
Do you think that there's no one like you
We are
We are
We are
We are the ones
We get knocked down
We get back up and stand above the crowd
We are one
We are the ones
We get knocked down
We get back up and stand above the crowd
We are one
The life I think about
Is so much better than this
I never thought I'd be stuck in this mess
I'm sick of wondering
Is it life or death
I need to figure out who's behind you
We are
We are
We are
We are the ones
We get knocked down
We get back up and stand above the crowd
We are one
We are the ones
We get knocked down
We get back up and stand above the crowd
We are one [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/t/three_days_grace/one_x.html ]
The life I think about
Is so much better than this
I never thought I'd be stuck in this mess
I'm sick of wondering
Is it life or death?
We are the ones
We get knocked down
We get back up and stand above the crowd
We are one
We are the ones
We get knocked down
We get back up and stand above the crowd
We are one
We stand above the crowd
We stand above the crowd
We stand above the crowd (Crowd)
(We stand) We stand above the crowd
We stand above the crowd (We Stand)
We stand above the crowd
(We are the ones) We stand above the crowd
(We get knocked down get back up) We stand above the crowd
(We are the ones) We stand above the crowd
(We get knocked down get back up) We stand above the crowd
We stand above the crowd
We stand above the crowd
We stand above the crowd
This song is about overcoming depression. & how he is watching his friend or someone close
to him go through it. He is telling them that
everyone get's knocked down,
but if you get back up & stand above the crowd
they will be the better person. This song has inspired me.

You're never truly alone, no matter what you think..
It talks about how some people feel alone and they get abused (not in that way) they fall down thinking its over but they realise that there are people who feel the same so they get back up.
Great song, great band... Three days grace really takes all of their songs to heart, they take a feeling, mood, or anything that puts fear or doubt into our hearts. Three days grace really hits those sensitve topics really wel... Making them help people with daily lives... 3dg fu**ing rocks!!!
I like this song cuz i'm always getting knocked down one way or another but i still don't give up and somehow end up on top. If you get knocked down, don't give up keep trying cuz eventually you'll end up on top. Just wacth
Also to follow my last post, when the song says "is it life or death? " it shows that the believer is wondering why all these horrible events are happening to him/her. Wondering whether he/she made the right choice.
What this song is saying is that the people who fail the most turn out becoming the most successful. Or the people who follow what they believe in and don't care what others think about them, will be made fun of, beaten up, but in the end when it really matters it turns out, that the one who followed his/her belief through everything was the one to "stand above the crowd".
This song means that no matter what your situation, someone else is going through it, too, and your friends will have your back and stand tall with you through to the end and will protect you from enemies who just want to hurt you and upset you. The tdg boys really know how to put these feelings and lessons into their songs.
You don't need to be emo to enjoy the song! I'm not emo and i love this song and connect with the lyrics, so if you don't like this kind of music go somewhere else!
