Tried to break love to a science
In an act of pure defiance
I broke her heart.
As I pulled apart her theories
As I watched her growing weary
I pulled her apart
Having heavy conversations
About the furthest constellations of our souls. ooh
And we're just trying to find some meaning
In the things that we believe in
But we got some ways to go.
Of all of the things that she's ever said
She goes and says something that just knocks me dead.

You won't find faith or hope down a telescope
You won't find heart and soul in the stars
You can break everything, down to chemicals
But you can't explain a love like ours.

Woohhhh
It's the way we feel, yeah this is real.
Woohhhh
It's the way we feel, yeah this is real.

I tried pushing evolution
As the obvious conclusion of the start.
But it was for my own amusement
Saying love was an illusion of a hopeless heart.
Of all of the things that she's ever said
She goes and says something that knocks me dead.

Of all of the things that she's ever said
She goes and says something that just knocks me dead

You won't find faith or hope down a telescope
You won't find heart and soul in the stars
You can break everything, down to chemicals
But you can't explain a love like ours.

Woohhhh
It's the way we feel, yeh this is real
Ooohhhh
It's the way we feel, yeh this is real

not only is this a beautiful song but it is an important life lesson "You wont find faith or hope down a telescope, you wont find heart or soul in the stars, you cant break everything down to chemicals" its true! not everything is a science you cant judge a person how sciencist tell you, you judge people on their soul and personality and unfortunly this person made the wrong choice

I think that this song just tells what everybody knows: You can't break love down to chemicals.
You fall in love with someone-often without any good reason. It just happens. So what do you want to do against it? You can try to explain it somehow. But you won't find a good explanation. Love can't be a science because you can't explain it. Love is faith. You believe in and you don't need something that shows you: It will work because a²+b²=c². No-one knows if it will work but the lovers believe in because they have faith in each other. So many love stories ended up with broken hearts. So why do you try to have a relationship? You try it because you have hope. Name me one science where the answer to one question is: You need faith and hope, and then it will work.
You can do everything trying to find the answer. Look through a telescope trying to find the answer written with stars on the sky. But you won't find an answer because you only see "fireballs".
You can try to find the right one with math or Physics. It won't work.
You can't explain love because it’s neither a real physical process nor a thing.
Love is an emotional process that you can't explain with Biology.
(Ok, you could say: Her brain doesn't work anymore because she loves him :D)
You can explain the things that are going on in your brain when you fall in love.
But you can't explain the things that are going on in your heart=your soul when you fall in love.
And that's where love starts: In your soul.
Everything else is just a process in your brain trying to understand what you heart is telling you.
I think that's what this song is really about.

(Sorry for my bad English. I am neither from England nor from any other "English-speaking-countries"....)

When all in science relies on proof, equations and calculations... My love is through faith beyond what science has ever touched and ever could dream of touching. Can't be explained, proven, put on equation or calculated. No love like ours

I think this song has a really good meaning because sometimes people do things that science cannot explain with theories but also can be referred with religion because you believe in thing in thing that you don't have really proved that is really you only had a sacred books and faith because this is the thing that is important. If you don't have faith or hope you don't have anything. Even in love you need faith. Other meaning this song could have is that if you love a person nothing, nothing even shame or different political positions or medicines can break that love, but this is what I think it doesn't have to be truth. Maybe when they write the song was totally different.
I hope you like these comment and I also hope you like I do The script!
I recommend you If you like or love this song(like me) to listen "for the first time" and "live like we are dying" both of the best band ever love you the script and hope you come to Spain soon.
