Im not okay trust me haha but im not and mcr is my life 13 your so right i read your comment and i agree when gerard says this band saves lives he isnt lying i have that written on my arm and i wouldnt be surprised if it never comes of because of how many times ive wrote over it cuz i used to cut but mcr helped me through it so now instead of picking up the scissors i pick up the pen and write this band saves lives over my scars thatll be there forever i havent cut in over two months and i dont care how many people think this is cheesy or fake or whatever but i owe my life to my chem and i just want to thank them because without them i probly wouldnt be her right now so thanks to all of the guys in the band i owe you my life

I am in love with this song. Gerard wrote it for some reason or another, but i can take it personally. You know, none of us are okay. We're the ones who admit that we are not okay! We're proud sometimes, and then we struggle with it. We feel that feeling of being the outcast. We feel like the weird kid no one sits next to at lunch. When i heard this song when i was in second grade (and proudly being raised on mcr) it was only lyrics and music. Just me and my little brother playing air guitar, air drums, and me as the singer. Always. But now, as a true fan, i know that there is meaning behind this song. It's not just another song about booze and drugs, and love. It's not like anything out there. That's what i love about mcr. The true feeling behind it. The raw emotion. They're always changing. Every new cd they release they are doing something new. Some may argue that the latest cd is mainstream crap, but it's not. It's unique, and some people can't handle the change of the sound of the music they produce. If a song by them is all techno beat, just listen to the lyrics, they have that meaning behind them that this song has! This sog helps misfits like me feel ok. Thank you mcr, and mcr fans. If you actually read this big thing of course!

I know that everyones putting why gerard wrote the song... But the whole idea is to put what it means to us personally... , we all know why gerard wrote it... But doesn't it say above the box "write your meaning to this song:" ... So i know this may be my own opinion but i think we should put how we feel/relate to this song when we listen to it... X and i know mcr aren't emo... Although many still think so... You'd think them saying it a million times and their new killjoy identities would show people that... Xx obviously not x

I think this song is about how some people will maybe say that they're okay just to get people to leave them alone.. Thats what i do.. And they say that but its really not true... They may be screaming on the inside but they don't want anyone to know

I agree with most of you people on here but also this song is about his life in high school and how he had a crush on one of his friends and she ended up taking really slutty pictures with her boyfriend and that really crushed him but she was his only real friend during his high school career and how he was living in this pit of lonliness, alcholism and despair. By the way mcr is not an emo band, they actually stood out on tv and announced it and gerard says that that is fucking shit so yahh... Newayzz...

When he says " the photographs your boyfriend took" he is refering to a girl which he had a huge crush on and later found out that she took slutty pictures with her boyfriend and that broke gerard's heart and he wrote this song about that.

That is the way i feel so revenge is on my way when i get into high school and this song goes to my stupid boyfriend
