This night, walk the dead
In a solitary style
And crash the cemetery gates.
In the dress your husband hates
Way down, mark the grave
Where the search lights found us
Drinking by the mausoleum door
And they found you on the bathroom floor
I miss you, I miss you so far
And the collision of your kiss that made it so hard [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/m/my_chemical_romance/cemetery_drive.html ]
Back home, off the run
Singing songs that make you slit your wrists
It isn't that much fun, staring down a loaded gun
So I won't stop dyin, won't stop lyin
If you want I'll keep on crying
Did you get what you deserve?
Is this what you always want me for?
I miss you, I miss you so far
And the collision of your kiss that made it so hard
Way down, way down
Way down, way down
Way down, way down
Way down, way down
I miss you, I miss you so far
And the collision of your kiss that made it so hard
I miss you, I miss you so far
And the collision of your kiss that made it so hard
Made it so hard
Way down, way down
Way down, way down
Way down, way down
Way down, way down
It's kind of like a dangerous romance--you know, you love each other, but it's no use trying, or you'll hurt each other. But--there's always something drawing you back to that certain person, even if they are going to pontentially harm you.
It's about a couple of friends that used to meet in the cemetery and drink together. But the woman was married and had problems with her husband, so as a kinda screw you to him she wore a dress the husband dislikes, and used her friend to "relieve stress". I. E. "the collision of your kiss". The part about the song singing is just her at home being depressed and singing songs that make her want to slit her wrists. But she actually died by the gun shot. If its to be interpretted that she died. Way down is just how far down the cemetary graves they were. Or it can be interpretted as way down under. "6 feet under"
Once again, i agree with good gurl bad. At first i didn't get it, but then i read what she (at least i think she? ) wrote, and it made more sence... So, uh, thanks. I love this song though, and the band.
