So grab this statement
And read between the lines
I'm walking on an edge
That's how I stay alive
I need a fix now
The pills I have to take
It helps me live a lie
And blinds all my mistakes
Before I die
I will have seen it all
The mountains I have climbed
Help me enjoy the fall
Oh the webs you weave
We are caught in the fame
The passion's dead
The life you've lead
Has drown in your shame
Oh the webs I weave
I am caught in this game
My passions dead
The life I've lead
Has drowned me in vain
So paint my portrait
The colors of my life
And the untold stories are painted in black and white
I can hear the footsteps
That follow to my pulse
This paranoia has haunted me like a ghost
Before I die
I will have seen it all
The mountains I have climbed
Help me enjoy the fall
Oh the webs you weave
We are caught in the fame
The passion's dead
The life you've lead
Has drown in your shame
Oh the webs I weave
I am caught in this game
My passions dead
The life I've lead
Has drowned me in vain
I will have seen it all (seen it all) [x2]
I'm killing time
Let me go
(Before I die)
(I will have seen it all)
It reads their minds
Brings them close
(Before I die)
(I will have seen it all)
Oh the webs you weave
We are caught in the fame
The passion's dead
The life you've lead
Has drown in your shame
Oh the webs I weave
I am caught in this game
My passions dead
The life I've lead
Has drowned me in vain
I agree, I think this song relates to ronnies drug abuse. That he is gonna be happier in death then he ever was in life. it seems like he's also talking about someone lying for him as well.
In addition to these other people's meanings also about the affects of being addicted to drugs.
I need a fix now
The pills I have to take
It helps me live a lie
And blinds all my mistakes
Take it from someone who knows it.
When addicted to drugs it makes you deny a lot of life. Hence, "it helps me live a lie" and "blinds all my mistakes."
A lot more of the song is about the affects of addiction. When on some drugs you get MAJOR paranoia.
I think it's about a guy that's pretty much living a lie because of all the bad things he's done. But in the end he thinks all of those things will add up and make the end tat much better for him, because he lived while he was alive, and he thinks this applys to pretty much everyone. And he also thinks that the things he has/will overcome will also make the end that much better, because guilt won't be gnawing away at him.
Note that this is my opinion.
[I think Ronnie wrote this about his life because of his drug abuse and such, but that's just me.]
this song means that this person has made so many mistakes in their lives that they just cant wait to die and they say "the mountains i have climbed helop me enjoy the fall" and this means all the mistakes made will make death more fun for him and he will be happy after he dies.
