i think that it meant that he broke up with his girlfriend over something, and he realized that hes lost without her and he cuts himself to deal with the depression of losing her, then he finally gets up the courage to talk to her and beg for her to come back but she wont come back
I think it is about losing his love to someone else and the anger that consumes him.
