I think this song maybe a reference to how Dave is going on after the downfall of Nirvana. He's talked about the death of it and how it will always be there. It was never something that was meant to last. However, he remembers how he fell into the bands hands and how they lifted him up. Now that Nirvana is gone, he will continue on but remember what was taught to him.

I feel this song is about a relationship that has gone bad. This is due to the realization that she was not the one for him. She broke his heart and now he is wanting saying goodbye. He now sees all her lies and flaws that he was once oblivious to. The relationship is basically killing him and both of them will leave feeling dead inside. So, neither one of them make it out alive.

I believe this song is about going head-over-heels for that special someone in your life. At first, you're willing to go the extra mile and do anything for this person. I feel this song is about inner strength and realization. I believe, he is talking about a relationship that is starting to go sour. Yet, in the process, she is trying to make him suffer more than she is. But, he knows what she is doing and it doesn't affect him. She tries to bring him down to her lever, but his inner strength knows what is happening. So, he lets her do these things in knowing that he is more of a man than she will ever know.

Even though its from that story, I feel the song still makes a valid point with the use of it. It still does pull on our emotions as listeners and we can connect with it. We can see it as a life lesson, the telling of a story, or both. That's what so cool about music :) Whether the intent was or was not what the artist wanted the listener to take away, the listener still took something away from it and made a connection.

This song I feel about holding on and then breaking up. This is in response to a recent break-up that one of them is refusing to believe its over. It will hurt for a while, but sooner or later the pain will go away. When the pain goes away, closure will replace it. However, till that time comes, you wil still be consumed by the one who you thought was perfect; feeling that the life is being sucked out of you.

This song is how all the college parties are the same. There are always the same girls there and all the guys are trying to hook up with them. Girls try too hard to impress all the guys, but all the guys want to do is just have fun, and don't care if the girls are playing hard to get. Cause guys won't chase after them or try as hard. After awhile, the parties get borning and its pointless to go to them. You'd rather sit home and have fun by yourself.

I really like Darkmark19's point and interpretation. It does make a lot of sense. Hmmm. Either way, I see it as a man who had high hopes and dreams, yet his life was ended abruptly. He left behing everything, and nobody really knows why he died, or how. Yet, there is this thought that maybe his wife is to blame. This man was very influential and died in a time of people needing him. I really like the Jesus reference, but I can't seem to fit the Miss Murder part with it. Hmmm.

This song is very depressing song. I feel its about a girl that dies before her time. They had all these plans together and were ready to spend eternity in each other's love. Yet, life has a way of messing things up. Now she is dead and gone, and he can't come to terms with it. He never promised that he would always wait for her, but he can't seem to move on. He continues on with life trying to move on, but feels contantly haunted by her ghost. The only way for them to be together now is for him to die. So, he sits around remembering all the things that were never said and never done, waiting for his time when he can be with her again.

I believe the song is about having those problems in your life that you don't know how to deal with them. In turn, you turn to an "answer" that merely distracts you from those problems. This "answer" makes you feel good and takes you away. However, as you continue to take in the "doses" you become addicted. You know its a bad thing, but it makes you feel so good. You look for help from others, but don't really want to make a big deal about it. Sooner or later, more problems arise and your "answer" is one of them. It is a downward spiral and can't be cured on its own. At first you thought you had a hold on things, but at this point you are down on your knees but, you still refuse help. Though, at some point, you will find your way again with some help from a guide that has been through this before.

This song has a deep meaning to me. I know its about parental fighting and how the kid sees it. I take the meaning of the song to state that this kid sees the hate between his parents and doesn't understand why they stay together. Yet, as a teenager, he is in a relationshp and gets along great with his significant other. So, I think he basically saying that he is leaving his family and giving them a "holiday" alone and won't come back untill they solve their problems. This time was meant for him, but its not worth it when all he sees and hears hurts him. He gives it to them instead.

This song is, as I take it, in refrence to the things in the relationships that only the couple in the relationship come to appreciate. For example, in the song he makes refrence to the roses by the stairs. This little suprise is one of many that the girl does to show how much she feels for him. Also, it has refrence to the little things that bug the couple, too. Saying basically that thru the bad and the good times their love will go on and on as a windmill goes round and round! This song is very sad. I think it is in reflection to teenage suicide. This kid, 16 years old, just wants to stand out and be noticed. Nobody seems to care and he is wishing for his moment. He sits in his room depressed and hoping that someone out there cares. But, no one does. All that people remember him for is the stupid mistakes he has made. So as a result of feeling unloved and unnoticed by his peers, he commits suicide. And, in the suicide letter he tells what should be done with his stuff and to stress to his mother that its wasn't her fault, but his for not being able to cope. So sitting alone in his room is when he commits suicide.

I agree with dman, this song is about direction. I think that Chris is reffering to a point in his life when he found direction. He was going about his life with no care in the world. Then, he crashed and broke down. He didn't know what to do. However, this person was there to save him and gave him direction. Now, he is in forever in debt to this person and will never leave him/her.

I feel this song is about him meeting this girl. He starts to date her and form a relationship. However, he never thought it was anything special and didn't treat it any different. But, she knew that something was special about him and kept with him. He then realizes that she was what he was looking for all along. He knows he treated her wrong in the past and is sorry. I feel this song is about rising up to your problems and not letting them consume and be the death of you. My ex just broke up with me nearly a month ago. I was ready to spend the rest of my life with her, but I made a mistake that costed me. Now, I'm hurt so bad that it makes me sick everytime. She says she needs time but I feel that time will work against us. I guess I will rise above this and mend myself. In time, things may get better.

This song really means alot to me. My ex-girlfriend showed me the way after she broke-up with me because I was the way I had always been. Song has a great meaning. Its about losing that special someone just for being the way you are. Yet, when you lose that someone, you realize that this is not the person you want to be. You decide that you are going to change and be a better person. However, no matter what you do, you can't change the past. But!, you can prevent a repeat in the future. I love weezer. One of my favorite bands ever. I think that this song is in reference to themselves as a band. They haven't changed over the years. Their style of music is unique. They are not going to change who they are or clone the music that is at the top of the charts. When they realized what they had done, they take pride in themselves. They trully don't care what anyone else thinks. Its been this long and they're still not going to jump on the band wagon.

It is about a man who is in prison. The days are going by and he's countin' down the days. He plans to start over anew and leave this life behind. However, as he begins to think, those thoughts and urges that got him in prison keep coming back to him. They please him and make him smile, but he knows they are wrong. He attempts to chase them away, but they keep coming back. He starts to panic and doesn't want to mess up again.

This song is a very sad song. It shows what can happen to young children when they are neglected by family and friends. I'm not sure if the boy actually commits suicide, I think he just snapped. It seems like Jeremy was a quiet boy, that everyone picked on. His parents just ignored him. Dad never even acknowledged his existance and Mom was disgusted by him. After a while, a demon emerged from within the child. He was no longer going to take it. He goes to school and raises hell. Maybe with guns and violence. In the end, he killed himself or was taken away forever. No matter what anyone does, they won't be able to forget that one day when Jeremy spoke in class.

I agree. It seems to be about a break up between the two after having some of the best times together. Some time down the road, she shows up, wanting him back. They talk, she blames him for the break up, but she still cares about him. It isn't like he wanted his feelings for her to disappear, but for him time had caused him to move on and realize that she wasn't the one.

I agree with the drug addiction. However, it does relate to outside situation that isn't truly mentioned. It could be a break-up or it could be stress in your life, ect. As a result, you resort to this drug. You become addicted, and know that you are. It is a problem but yet, day after day you keep doing it because it frees you from the pain. Irony is that, in turn, this addiction also causes you a different pain. Ya, you can get help, but it is easier just to keep doing it.
