South Park – Alan Jackson Ladder To Heaven Songs lyrics

Where were you when they built the Ladder to Heaven?
Did it make you feel like crying?
Or did you think it was kinda gay?
Well I for one believe in the Ladder to Heaven
Ooh yeah yeah yeah, 9-11
I said 9-11 9-11 9-11 9, 9-11

Where were you
When they ran out of stuff to build the Ladder to Heaven?

Where were you
When they saved that Ladder to Heaven?

Where were you
When they decided Heaven was a more intangible idea
And couldn't, you couldn't really... Get there?
You little bastards ruined my latest song!!

One of the few times South Park has come off wrong. The one news anchor says "and now [Alan Jackson] here once again to capitalize off people's emotions". What media doesn't capitalize off of people's emotions? Like South Park does. Also they could have put more effort into the lyrics for this song, they just speak sentences to twangy guitar, if you're going to parody a quality songwriter like Uncle Al you might want to make quality lyrics.
