Since Red is a christian band I think this might be about someone who feels left alone by God. On the other hand I think it would be a bit weird to say that God was frozen in his fear; so it might as well be about a guy, maybe, who was left by someone and feels like his life became meaningless because of that. Like the other one took everything away. But in that case the 'you were frozen in your fear' line still doesn't make much sense, I think. =/ Besides that, I think it is still one of the most amazing songs I've ever heard;.

After listening to this song for I guess a 100 times I decided that it is about someone, who wants to leave or has already left a beloved one and is apologizing for that. I guess he, whoever he is, cannot stay where he is and explains that to her, whoever she is, tries to make her understand, that he'll always love her, no matter what and that he is sorry, but cannot change anything. So mostly I think the song is about someone leaving someone. =/

What I find most amazing about is the line '((What a shame, to have to beg you)) we're not all the same. ' This is, sadly, so true, although we are supposed to be created equal, we certainly aren't all the same. And many seem to forget that. And to judge someone because of what he is, even when you couldn't do any better if you were in the same position is something people like to do, since it is so easy.

Gosh, what is wrong with you people? If you write 'i love this song' or something like that you get thumps up, but if you write what this song could be about and some weird fag does not agree with that, you get thumps down!? If you didn't get that this whole thing is about writing your meaning to a song, then at least accept other peoples opinions. And who says what the right meaning of a song is anyway? The ones who wrote them? They just say what they thought the song could be about, you are still allowed to interpret the song the way you want to.

This song could also be about a person who hates himself, at least you could interpret the 'I'm gonna cut myself' part that way, however the 'You open your mouth again'. And so on part doesn't fit that well. Was just thinking, so if you don't agree with my opinion, don't rate this down, this is not about writing the 'correct' meaning of a song, whatever the correct meaning is, but rather about writing what you think the song is about, so you can get many different ideas what the song could be about and pick the one you like best, something like that. Nothing else.

I love this song. One of the best Slipknot songs ever, it really is a shame that they had to remove the song from their album, it was so much better than 'Despise'. Ah well. In case anyone shouldn't know, this song is based on a story about a girl called Purity who was locked away in a cellar., however the author of that story made Slipknot remove the song from their album, because he said the story wasn't true, so it was his, while Corey had thought it was, in which case he would have been allowed to use it for a song. And now they only play that song live. Not that I do not like Slipknot live, but the studio version sounded a little better. In my opinion.

Hahaha I love this song so much. Best song ever, although I think it is fairly weird. I mean, when I listened to it for the first time I was like 'omg, what the F. '. But it's so incredibly funny if you don't take it too serious lol. But one more thing, someone wrote that guy in the songs kills the girl because he wants her in a sexual way, and doesn't want her as a person. I think, however, that he wants to marry her because he loves her, but is afraid that she might not want him and then 'before the possibilities came true' he 'took all possibilities form you/her' by killing her, cause when she's dead she cannot reject him. That's at least what I would think after watching the video, since he obviously proposes to her in that. And the rest is pretty obvious, I think. If not - watching the video definitely helps.

Yeah like so many other songs it's a song about somebody who is fed up with in this case seemingly a lot of people, maybe even with the whole world and thinks he is different in a positive way and feels that this is the reason why the people he is fed up with keep rejecting him. And it bothers him so much that he is about to snap, cause he "can't fucking take it anymore".

I actually agree with that 7th grade user below me, that someone made a girl up and then realizes that he will never have her, and becomes depressed over that fact, however I fail to make a connection between the video and the song, for it rather focuses on a girl which seems lost in the real world; maybe it's the way he, however he is, sees her (his made-up girl), I really don't know.
