I agree, the German songs are a thousand times better.
But them translating them to english isn't bad either.
I think as fans we should appreciate BOTH kinds of music.
Also, I'm pretty sure this song isn't recorded in english

Ow god ! They have to stop with making their song english! You have to listen to this song in german. It's much much much nicer !I HATE the english songs, but really love the original songs!

It could also imply how you are considered to lose your identity when you become a celebrity. You arent who you were when you started because youve been so affected by the new people around you. Being famous calls for a change in anybodys personality as you must become a thousand different types of one person while the cameras and media are around, you really can't be yourself anymore. In the song he MAY be begging to go back to when he was just him and where he could be himself. If you look within the lyrics of the song there is potential in the lyrics to support my theory.

this song is so beautiful the first time i heard it i cryed ( a first for me) and that was before i knew the meaning.

this songtalks about makeing a choice or doing something that has turned out wrong, and they would give anything to go back, to live the life they once had, to be the person they once were. But no matter how much they try. They can't they just lose themselves more and more untill is becomes to late. So they are calling out for help because they know they cant do it alone.

I think It's about someone who's trapped in a situation and wants to be rescued.

This person is in a very bad situation and this person in question wants to go back on what he/she did
