Tokio Hotel – World Behind My Wall lyrics
It's raining today
The blinds are shut
It's always the same
I tried all the games that
They play
But they
Made me insane
Life on tv
It's random
But means nothing to me
I'm writing down
What I cannot see
Wanna wake up in a dream

Owow
They're telling me
It's beautiful
I believe them
But will I ever know
The world behind my wall
Owow
The sun will shine
Like never before
One day I will be
Ready to go
See the world behind my wall

Trains in the sky
Are travelling
Through fragments of time
They're taking me to parts
Of my mind
That no one can find

I'm ready to fall
I'm ready to crawl
On my knees to know it all
I'm ready to heal
I'm ready to feel

Owow
They're telling me
It's beautiful
I believe them
But will I ever know
The world behind my wall
Owow
The sun will shine
Like never before
One day I will be
Ready to go
See the world behind my wall (x4)

I'm ready to fall
I'm ready to crawl
On my knees to know it all
I'm ready to heal
I'm ready to feel

Take me there!
Owow
Take me there!
Take me there!

Owow
They're telling me
It's beautiful
I believe them
But will I ever know
The world behind my wall

I think he purposely created the wall. To shield himself of repeating a tragic event that happened to him before. Maybe the pain was so intense that he created that wall. And yet, he longs to see the outside world and see once more for himself, fell, experience and live again.
And yet he is hesitant still.
Still clinging to mend his lost time when he was first outside his wall.

I think it was about a person who really wants to get out of his lonely world and look up for the other world he thought. That was brilliant and beautiful. Yet he was still not ready to leave that lonely world and he was trying really hard. (that was for me, no need to get deeper).
At first I think the song might be Bill's feeling too. But it's just a song written by them, maybe it was only dedicated for someone or something.
In my criticism, the first time I saw and hear this song I fell in love to it easily^^ I like how Bill and the band plays it, they are growing amazingly. I'm a proud fan of Tokio Hotel:] ~ ♥.

This song has such a powerful meaning behind the lyrics. To me it talks about a lost heart screaming for a way out of a dark, mind screwing tragity. The person seems to be wondering if there will ever be a way out, but can't find one even with people telling them the storm will pass. This song is equal to a super nova, and each person has a conection to it.

To me personally it is meaning the wall of depression. No matter how bad you want to break that wall down, you are stuck and can only hear about how wonderful it is, just wishing you could see it. When someone doesn't know about bipolar depression, I send them this song for them to really listen to the words, and it explains it all to them. But for the boys it means they are in a rocker lifestyle so they have a wall up that they are not free to roam around without millions following their every move, anymore, go shopping, or go play games anymore, they just arent "regular" guys anymore.

I so love this song. I think people have to put up a wall to be accepted in most of this world. That its hard to be our selfs. Just as myself I have had to put up a wall of what people whan to see not who I really am. Tokio hotels music is so much more then that. It touches everyone in all ages and parts of the world.
