It's raining today
The blinds are shut
It's always the same
I tried all the games that
They play
But they
Made me insane
Life on TV
It's random
But means nothing to me
I'm writing down
What I cannot see
Wanna wake up in a dream

Owow
They're telling me
It's beautiful
I believe them
But will I ever know
The world behind my wall
Owow
The sun will shine
Like never before
One day I will be
Ready to go
See the world behind my wall

Trains in the sky
Are travelling
Through fragments of time
They're taking me to parts
Of my mind
That no one can find

I'm ready to fall
I'm ready to crawl
On my knees to know it all
I'm ready to heal
I'm ready to feel

Owow
They're telling me
It's beautiful
I believe them
But will I ever know
The world behind my wall
Owow
The sun will shine
Like never before
One day I will be
Ready to go
See the world behind my wall (x4)

I'm ready to fall
I'm ready to crawl
On my knees to know it all
I'm ready to heal
I'm ready to feel

Take me there!
Owow
Take me there!
Take me there!

Owow
They're telling me
It's beautiful
I believe them
But will I ever know
The world behind my wall

I love this song because it's like in my situation cause my parents won't let me stroll around or hang out with my friends.
My cousins tell me that I have to encounter the people around you so that I can gain some self confidence,
but the only problem is my parents.
But I trust them and I will follow them because it's for my own good.

    [except just I'm not a celebrity he-he].

Its definitely about life as it is, our influences and how we occupy our time by looking at certain things like the tv rather than noticing real things that really go on. And how we take what we have for granted
    I'm ready to fall
I'm ready to crawl on me knees
    to know it all
    I'm ready heal
    I'm ready to feel.

    Trains in the sky
are traveling through fragments of time
they're taking me to parts of my mind
    that no one can find.

He's ready to face himself, his issues and his life. He wants to really live rather than living this false persona.

He understands pain but he wants to know himself better so he wants to live like some people live everyday, to suffer.
    Whoa
    they're telling me its beautiful
I believe them but will I ever know.

He sees the outer beauty of things and acknowledges it but he doesn't know those people or that life, how they live and their suffering. So he will never know.

That's just my take, I used to hate this song but now that I understand it I truly love it. My favorite song on the album is That Day.

I think it's about the Berlin wall, when it was destroyed in the year 1989, same year as Tom And Bill was born. I don't know, it's just my perspective to the song. I guess they wrote it because of what happened in that year. :) But still they're cool.

I think it was about a person who really wants to get out of his lonely world and look up for the other world he thought. That was brilliant and beautiful. Yet he was still not ready to leave that lonely world and he was trying really hard. (that was for me, no need to get deeper).

At first I think the song might be Bill's feeling too. But it's just a song written by them, maybe it was only dedicated for someone or something.

In my criticism, the first time I saw and hear this song I fell in love to it easily^^ I like how Bill and the band plays it, they are growing amazingly. I'm a proud fan of Tokio Hotel:] ~ ♥.

Tokio hotel for ever and ever!
I can't wait to buy humanoid!

The song's meaning in my opinion:.

I think that Bill, in this song, wanted to express his feelings for his home country, Germany. You all know he loves Germany so much and he wouldn't change it for the world! So the first verse is like: I have seen most of the things that people do, and they're all the same and they make me insane, I can see this even from the Tv, I wanna be somewhere else, wake up in a dream. The second: They're telling me it's beautiful, but will I ever know the world behind my wall? It's about that everyone seems to love it so much, maybe he'll like it to, but will he ever know it? He is ready to feel it.

    This is just my opinion.
