I think that the song refers to a person who is famous and for this reason it says : life on TV. This person is frustrated and feels so lonely cause it is forced to do things...It hopes that one day it can live it's dream and become optomistic and happy...Now the only thing that it does is to pretend... The others are trying to persuade it that everything is ok but nothing is ok cause this person is miserable..It wants to find a new world and see the bright side,escape from the fake world and live it's dream...Now unfortunately, it is curtailed and lives the same things again and again and again...and it is bored everything is dull everything is the same...the only one this person has is hope... This is my opinion and nothing more I want also to say a big THANK YOU to the persons who made this cause we can express our thoughts and feelings for the songs!!!THANK YOU AGAIN!!!

i think it was about a person who really wants to get out of his lonely world and look up for the other world he thought.. that was brilliant and beautiful.. yet he was still not ready to leave that lonely world and he was trying really hard.. (that was for me, no need to get deeper)

at first i think the song might be Bill's feeling too.. but it's just a song written by them, maybe it was only dedicated for someone or something..

in my criticism, the first time i saw and hear this song i fell in love to it easily^^ i like how Bill and the band plays it, they are growing amazingly.. i'm a proud fan of Tokio Hotel :] ~ ♥

The song's meaning in my opinion:

I think that Bill,in this song,wanted to express his feelings for his home country,Germany.You all know he loves Germany so much and he wouldn't change it for the world! So the first verse is like:I have seen most of the things that people do,and they're all the same and they make me insane,I can see this even from the Tv,I wanna be somewhere else,wake up in a dream.The second:They're telling me it's beautiful,but will I ever know the world behind my wall? It's about that everyone seems to love it so much,maybe he'll like it to,but will he ever know it?He is ready to feel it...
