Listen close, as the rain falls down to the ground
It's true, we are
We are destined to fail
It's true, we are
We are destined to fail
There is a problem here with our society
The absence of my tears is my sobriety
I have a growing fear and you're not helping me
Am I the only one who realizes it's true?
Beat but I'm not broken
Guide me through with your hand
Lead with your words spoken
Show me how to listen [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/t/the_red_jumpsuit_apparatus/misery_loves_its_company.html ]
You're persecuting me, showing hypocrisy
I have a remedy for your insecurity
It's all the same, sadly, nobody works for free
Am I the only one who realizes it's true
Beat but I'm not broken
Guide me through with your hand
Lead with your words spoken
Show me how to listen
Let your light shine through me
Take this hate I can't release
Help me make the blind see
Misery loves it's company
When I dream, I see dawn turn into dusk, into dusk
Beat but I'm not broken
Guide me through with your hand
Lead with your words spoken
Show me how to listen
Let your light shine through me
Take this hate I can't release
Help me make the blind see
Misery loves it's company
It's true, we are
We are destined to fail
It's true, we are
We are destined to fail

Specifically it's about ronnie's and his brothers' experience of being abused by their parents and beaten up.

This song is about domestic abuse. How always getting yelled at and physically harmed by people you look up to as parents/older siblings only makes you feel unconfident, depressed and scared for the rest of your life
It about ronnie winter's(vocals) child life. How his parents were abusive to him and his two other brothers. And how they never did the right thing, always on drugs and alcohol.

I think that it's about how as humans we can't do anything right. We need god's help and guidance to do what we have to do. And even when we want to do things that good and for gods glory, we still need him. We can't do anything on our own...
Ok so im thinking that its about like someone fighting with their parents or a parent. Like how its saying that they are destined to fail pretty much it sounds like to me that no matter what they do nothing they ever do will be good enough and what the parents or parent is getting mad at them for they do or did.
