When you were here before,
Couldn't look you in the eye,
You're just like an angel,
Your skin makes me cry;

You float like a feather,
In a beautiful world,
I wish I was special,
You're so fuckin' special;

But I'm a creep,
I'm a weirdo,
What the hell am I doin' here?
I don't belong here;

I don't care if it hurts,
I wanna have control,
I want a perfect body,
I want a perfect soul;

I want you to notice,
When I'm not around,
You're so fuckin' special,
I wish I was special;

But I'm a creep,
I'm a weirdo,
What the hell am I doin' here?
I don't belong here, ohhhh, ohhhh

She's running out again,
She's running,
She runs runs runs runs...

Whatever makes you happy,
Whatever you want,
You're so fucking special,
I wish I was special;

But I'm a creep,
I'm a weirdo,
What the hell am I doin' here?
I don't belong here,

I don't belong here...

    He can't show her how he feels, cuz he doesn't feel he is worthy enough.
    He wants to be wanted but feels that he can't have her.
    At the end of everything, he wants this person to be happy more than anything else.

    Describes how a lot of people feel about someone they want to be with.

    I don't know how you guys got your ideas, but it's obviously about how Nico Di Angelo feels towards Percy Jackson. Can't you see? Nico idolizes Percy because he saved Nico's life when he and his sister were young. He is having trouble because he should hate Percy for letting his sister go on a dangerous mission and die, but somehow he can't stop loving him. He also feels like a creep for being gay, and being obsessed with Percy. He see's Percy as being perfect, and himself as being a creep, and a burden on the world. It doesn't help that Percy is so oblivious either. It's pretty sad actually.

    He bases his worldview on societies projection of desirable qualities: angelic, perfect soul; perfect body, being in control. In this "beautiful" world he is not noticed. He does not belong. He is resentful towards her and the state of affairs "you're so f**kin special". But he does not see that by objectifying her based on societies values, he is upholding the "beautiful world" he seems to despise. He is not in love with her but with societies ideal woman whom she represents for him.
    He feels a creep because he judges himself in a world based on materialism, objectifying women,skin deep beauty and religion. Ironically for judging himself, her and everyone in this way...he is as creepish as the society he feels alienated ..She does the only sane thing open to her runs.

    It is about the fear and insecurity we feel when we find someone we idolize and want to love, yet expect to be rejected - that we do not belong with perfection. It is a horrible reality many of us feel, who have been abandoned by those we loved most, and fear it will just happen again.

    I think it's about idolizing and loving someone so much and seeing all the good in them when you see yourself in such a warped inaccurate way. Its ironic that you can love someone so wholeheartedly and still belittle and hate yourself. That is what it means to me anyway.
