Things are shaping up to be pretty odd.
Little deaths in musical beds.
So it seems I'm someone I've never met.
You will only hear these elegant crimes,
Fall on your ears from criminal dimes.
They spill unfound from a pretty mouth.
Everybody gets there, everybody gets there,
And Everybody gets their way (hey!)
I never said I missed her when everybody kissed her,
Now I'm the only one to blame.
[Chorus]
Things have changed for me.
And that's okay.
I feel the same,
I'm on my way,
And I say.
Things have changed for me,
And that's okay.
I want to go where everyone goes,
I want to know what everyone knows.
I want to go where everyone feels the same.
I never said I'd leave this city,
I never said I'd leave this town.
A falling out we won't tiptoe about. [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/p/panic_at_the_disco/that_green_gentleman.html ]
When Everybody gets there, everybody gets there
And Everybody gets their way.
I never said I missed her when everybody kissed her,
Now I'm the only one to blame.
[Chorus]
Things have changed for me.
And that's okay.
I feel the same,
I'm on my way,
And I say.
Things have changed for me,
And that's okay.
I feel the same,
And I'll say.
Oh well things have changed for me
Come on everybody let's dance and sing,
Well I'm singin' it all night long
So come on everybody and join along,
I'm sayin' well things have changed for me,
Come on everyone let's dance and sing,
Well I'm singin' it all night long
So come on everybody and sing along.
Things have changed for me,
And that's okay.
I'm on my way,
And I say...
Things have changed for me.
It's okay if things have changed. Nothing's gonna change.

Before performing that green gentleman on the vices and virtues uk tour 2012, 29th january, brendon told the crowd that this song was written about marijuana.
Things have changed for me. And that's okay. It means they matured but it's really ok.if u see the behind the scenes for this video,the director said that the part were old men were wearing rose vests and those fluffy things while panic is in a canoe and laughing at the old men actually meant that the new panic is laughing at their old selves and are already and are already showing viewers they are more mature now
When my best friend (who i happened to be in love with =) decided we couldn't talk anymore, i didn't realize how much i was okay with the change until after i heard this song. I was a different person afterwards, more mature, stronger, and even though it hurt, i realized that for the first time in a while, i was able to be truly happy.
I agree with blackhearts on the meaning- it's mostly about how life events can change our perspective and shape the person we are now.
This describess my lifee lol... I love this song... 9 in the afternoon is awsome but its getting overplayedd... This songg is new refreshinng and all of my scenne groupiesss like me love itt!!! Rawr!!!
~~~i wish my grasss was emo cause then it would cut itself~~~
Their songs are quite random! And as far as meaning goes i think they just keep it simple and don't try to be too "deep". Songs are better if they're simple and don't involve too many riddles. So i think the chorus explains the meaning of the song. Things have changed for them since becoming famous musicians...
Its like a break-up song thi guy doesnt wan to hurt her, but he knows its over and this girl is trying to get back at him "i never said i missed her when everybody kissed her"and he knows he messed up "now i'm the only one to blame. ",but things have changed
Hmmm this person might have done somthing wrong
but he is saying that it's changed him and hes ok with it... Kindah like if it was meant to happen and he is going to
let it be... ♥
