When the world gets too heavy
Put it on my back,
I'll be your levy.
You are taking me apart
Like bad glue on a get well card.

It was always you
Falling for me.
Now there's always time.
Calling for me.
I'm the light
Blinking at the end of the road.
Blink back to let me know.

I'm a fly that's trapped
In a web
But I'm thinking that
My spider's dead
.
Lonely, lonely little life.
I could kid myself
By thinking that I'm fine.

It was always you
Falling for me.
Now there's always time.
Calling for me.
I'm the light
Blinking at the end of the road.
Blink back to let me know.

That I'm skin and bone.
Just a cane and rusty throne.
All the castle's under siege.
But the sign outside says leave me alone.

It was always you
Falling for me.
Now there's always time.
Calling for me.
I'm the light
Blinking at the end of the road.
Blink back to let me know.
(It was always you)
Blink back to let me know.
(It was always you)

I believe Always is about a situation were the singer likes someone who used to like them as well, but no longer does. The interest had liked the singer for a while (It was always you, falling for me) but now after they had finally moved on, the singer has now realized they like them (now there's always time).
I personally like the metaphor about the fly and spider. It means to me that now the singer (the fly) is trapped by the interest (the spider who made the web) now that they like them, but the "spider is dead" meaning the interest has moved on. I don't know, I just like it (:

I actually took it to mean a person looking after their lover who is comatose. 'blink back to let me know' in the line 'i'm a fly that's trapped in a web but i'm thinking my spider is dead' he is the fly, she is the spider, and the web is their love. It's metaphorical in imagery yet literal in explanation.

hah well this is sorta how i feel. not sure of the meaning but my interpretation is well the girl/guy in my case its guy who liked me A LOT and it took me some time to let him "take me apart like bad glue on a get well card" (like make me fall for him). and well it was always him trying to make me like him and i was resistant since it was a 3 week program and i felt like time was too short to truly like someone. but now that i feel that "there's always time" and there's that possibility i'll see him again when "i'm the light blinking at the end of the road" i hope he "blinks back to let me know" that "it was always him". just to remind me he always loved me and i wish i could go back to those 3 weeks and spend less time resisting that feeling since i'm all "alone" well single now lol and "i could kid myself by thinking that i'm fine" but he's moved on with a girlfriend and "I'm a fly that's trapped In a web But I'm thinking that My spider's dead" :(
hope no one else feels like that lol. beautiful song!

For me, maybe it's a girl who was so in love to a boy. But sadly, just when the boy falls for her, she's already gone.

I think this song is mainly about unrequited love, about this person having someone in love with them, now they fell out of love with them, but you have fallen in love with them instead :(
