Panic! At The Disco – New Perspective lyrics
I feel the salty waves come in
I feel them crash against my skin
And I smile as I respire because I know they'll never win
There's a haze above my TV
That changes everything I see
And maybe if I continue watching
I'll lose the traits that worry me

Can we fast-forward to go down on me?
Stop there and let me correct it
I wanna live a life from a new perspective
You come along because I love your face
And I'll admire your expensive taste

And who cares divine intervention
I wanna be praised from a new perspective
But leaving now would be a good idea
So catch me up on getting out of here

Taking everything for granted but we still respect the time
We move along with some new passion knowing everything is fine
And I would wait and watch the hours fall in a hundred separate lines
But I regain repose and wonder how I ended up inside

Can we fast-forward to go down on me?
Stop there and let me correct it
I wanna live a life from a new perspective
You come along because I love your face
And I'll admire your expensive taste
And who cares divine intervention
I wanna be praised from a new perspective
But leaving now would be a good idea
So catch me up on getting out of here
(Getting out of here)

More to the point, I need to show
How much I can come and go
Other plans fell through
And put a heavy load on you
I know there's no more that need be said
When I'm inching through your bed
Take a look around instead and watch me go

Stop there and let me correct it
I wanna live a life from a new perspective
You come along because I love your face
And I'll admire your expensive taste
And who cares divine intervention
I wanna be praised from a new perspective
But leaving now would be a good idea
So catch me up on getting out of here

It's not fair, just let me perfect it
Don't wanna live a life that was comprehensive
'Cause seeing clear would be a bad idea
Now catch me up on getting out of here
So catch me up I'm getting out of here

I was at their concert on october 30th at the paramount in huntington ny, and they told the story of how they were to make a song for jennifer body's soundtrack and all they had to help was the scene where 2 girls are making out so they said they said they made it about blow jobs. He admires her expensive taste. J***. He also says can we fast forward to go down on me, that one is self explanatory, but I was at the concert where he did say it was about blowjobs.

This song is all about head. I mean it's easy to see with the "Can we fast forward 'till you go down on me" but there is more. "Salty waves"= man goo. "Prazed"= on knees "Haze above my tv" means that his judgement is clouded from beng 'in the mood'. "And i smile as i respire cause i know i'll never win" (respire= to breathe in and out or pant) this means that I smile as I climax although the 'haze' will return.

It's simple. Brendon, (the singer) is singing about (how can I put this lightly) oral s**. Can we fast forward 'till you go down on me? Heh, yeah, it's s**. But, there is a deeper meaning to the song too. When he states: more to the point I need to show, how much I can come and go other plans. It means he doesn't want to bother anymore. With s**. He wants a relationship, this is why before every chourus he says: stop there! And let me correct it. He wants to fix the predicament he is already in. Lusting for her instead of loving her, like he knows he should. He to love her from a 'new perspective'. I am 70% sure that I am correct. P. S. I am a reallybig panic! Fan.

For years I know the song was heavily influenced by sex. Every time I hear "I know there's no more that need be said".
When I'm inching through your bed" I imagine a snake moving on a bed of messy white sheets or over a semi naked body or body's (My mind is weird) and for some reason I always hear "Cause sleeping with me would be a bad idea" instead of "Cause seeing clear would be a bad idea".

Yhh I'm gonna miss them so much too. Panic was magical when all 4 of them were together! They were my heroes (musical wise of course: P).
But this song was absolutely perfect to help me get over the initial shock of the break-up lol.
It made me see from a new perspective - the better perspective, which is eventhough they've split, the future will be even better!
So I'm really looking forward to hearing panic's new sound and also the new songs from The Young Veins (ryan and jon).
    All is good xd.
