Warm bodies I sense are not machines that can only make money
Past perfect tense, words for a feeling and all I've discovered
I'll be alone son with medicine supposed to designed to make you high
I'll be alone son with words for a feeling and all I've discovered
Old bad eyes, old bad eyes, old bad eyes

On loneliness comes
Go see the foreman, go see the profiteer
On loneliness drives
We're taking our time movin' shit for this holy slime
Old bad eyes, old bad eyes, old bad eyes
Almighty fear
The shepherd won't leave me alone
He's in my face and I
The shepherd of my days
And I want you here by my heart
And my head, I can't stop 'till I'm dead

Warm bodies I sense are not machines that can only make money
Past perfect tense, words for a feeling and all I discover
Old bad eyes, old bad eyes, old bad eyes
Almighty fear
The shepherd won't leave me alone
He's in my face and I
The shepherd of my day
And I want you here by my heart
And my head, I can't stop 'till I'm dead, oh I, oh I

Old bad eyes, old bad eyes, old bad eyes
Almighty fear
The shepherd won't leave me alone
He's in my face and I
The shepherd of my day
And I want you hear by my heart
And my head, I can't stop 'till I'm dead
(The shepherd) Here I am locking horns with the stallion
Failing to hold my head up, I'll go back again
(The shepherd) Pillar of Davidson feeling to hard to go down
Cheaper than all the souls he will walk upon
(The shepherd) Deeper and deeper in love so I hold my head up
Cheaper than all the souls he will walk upon
(The shepherd of my days, of my days) Pillar of Davidson feeling to hard to go down

Its the struggle within to always do right by the ones you love when it is sometimes easier to follow other paths, he's having an inner conversation between him and god, and god as always lets him speak, he feels and lives in the simple everyday life that we all strive to get away from... I love this song!

I think its about a old soul or angel that is made to live on earth. He has seen that humans are not just about profit and greed. But about love as well. He's lonely and missing being with god. He is disillusioned with what the church has become. I believe the stallion is in reference to evil and his battle with sin. While he is forever fighting evil and his feeling of self worth he never gives up because his belief and faith and love in god is stronger.
