I used the deadwood to make the fire rise
The blood of innocence burning in the skies
I filled my cup with the rising of the sea
I poured it out in an ocean of debris

Ooooooooh!

(Chorus)
I'm swimming in the smoke
Of bridges I have burned
So don't apologize
I'm losing what I don't deserve

What I don't deserve

We held our breath when the clouds began to form
But you were lost in the beating of the storm
And in the end we were made to be apart
The seperate chambers of the human heart

Nooooooo!

(Chorus)
I'm swimming in the smoke
Of bridges I have burned
So don't apologize
I'm losing what I don't deserve

It's in the blackened bones
Of bridges I have burned
So don't apologize
I'm losing what I don't deserve

What I don't deserve

(Solo)

(Chorus)
I'm swimming in the smoke
Of bridges I have burned
So don't apologize
I'm losing what I don't deserve

The blame is mine alone
For bridges I have burned
So don't apologize
I'm losing what I don't deserve

What I don't deserve
What I don't deserve
What I don't deserve

I used the deadwood to make the fire rise
The blood of innocence burning in the skies

i think .. the first verse says:
"i hurt so many people in my life and that has become so spreading, and i headed to the same path making what's coming the oblivion of what's done"

    CHORUS:
"i'm in the middle of my bad deeds and don't be sorry for me because i'm responsible of my own doings"

    2nd verse:
"we (the good and the bad) tried to carry on but the good one has been hurt in the evil world... that's why Good & Evil are made separate and that is seen in the human hearts "

    i think so

I may be wrong but I think this song can relate to relaionships... Maybe a guy or a girl... Has taken advantage of their girlfriend/boyfriend (by that I mean cheating) and if they Try to imply in some way that this song is how they feel towards you than maybe they feel like you can do much Better than them...(when Chester says "dont apologize I'm loosing what I don't deserve", I think this is what he means) also when he says "at the end we were always ment to be apart like the separate chambers of the human hearts", by that I think he is stating that after all that you have been through with your other half maybe you were never ment to be together because you are different as in one good and one evil (as someone stated something about good an evil before).

I'll say it's more about having been done wrong and cutting the ties with these people (burning bridges) because they don't deserve to be taken for granted. It also adds o the first verse where they talk about using what was broken to destroy what was left and get away from it and that they were never meant to be together

I think it all about drug addiction and how the writer put so many people through so much and feels remorse for it now that he is sober.
