I text a postcard, sent to you
Did it go through?
Sending all my love to you
You are the moonlight of my life every night
Giving all my love to you
My beating heart belongs to you
I walked for miles 'til I found you
I'm here to honor you
If I lose everything in the fire
I'm sending all my love to you

With every breath that I am worth
Here on Earth
I'm sending all my love to you
So if you dare to second guess
You can rest assure
That all my love's for you

My beating heart belongs to you
I walked for miles 'til I found you
I'm here to honor you
If I lose everything in the fire
I'm sending all my love to you

My beating heart belongs to you
I walked for miles 'til I found you
I'm here to honor you
If I lose everything in the fire
I'm sending all my love to you

This song is the sixth installment of the 21st Century Breakdown story. It is never stated whether this song is from Christian's or Gloria's point of view, though I believe it to be Christian's.

He is in a state of numbness, and his mind has wondered to Gloria, and all he can think about is how much he really does love her. He texts her and tells her he loves her, hoping she gets it. The way he sees it, his life could end at any moment, and in this moment of realization, he feels that he NEEDS to tell her how he feels about her.
He says that even if he loses everything, the thought of her being there for him keeps him going.

This song started out reminding me of what was lacking in my marriage. Seeing that those words never applied to me from my husbands' perspective. Most recently, (after separation) i have claimed it as a love song to myself. A fantastic song.

This song is listed after the introduction of Gloria and Christian as the two protagonists of the album (in Viva la Gloria and Christian's Inferno respectively). Christian pledges his eternal love for Gloria- although it never specifies whether the song is from his point of view or hers, it is more likely his. Basically, he tells her how is absolutely, completely, hopelessly in love with her and that she brings reason into his life. There are references here to the previous song, Christian's Inferno- "If I loose everything in the fire, I'm sending all my love to you." What he means is, his love for her will withstand any sort of destruction.

This song is so full of love and Billie Joe is so talented. :) I think it’s so sweet how much he loves Adie and all the songs he’s written for her. Girls only dream of guys writing songs for them…and Adrienne has several written for her. This one is from Billie Joe to directly one person: Adrienne. It's one of Green Day's softer songs, and as Mike said, the "most unapologetic love song". I love it, too!

for me, this is a goodbye song. and it reminds me of the guy who meant everything to me, the guy i loved more than anything. we never had the chance to say our goodbyes so this is my goodbye song for him. i'm moving on with my life and finally forgetting him, so i'm sending him all the love i felt. caz my beating heart will always belong to him :'(
