Fall Out Boy
Hum Hallelujah lyrics

Songwriters: Trohman, Joe; Cohen, Leonard; Hurley, Andrew; Wentz, Peter; Stump, Patrick

It's all a game of this or that, now versus then
Better off against worse for wear
And you’re someone who knows someone who knows someone I once knew
And I just want to be a part of this

The road outside my house is paved with good intentions
Hired a construction crew, 'cause it's hell on the engine
And you are the dreamer and we are the dream.
I could write it better than you ever felt it.

So hum hallelujah,
Just off the key of reason
I thought I loved you
It was just how you looked in the light.
A teenage vow in a parking lot
"Till tonight do us part"
I sing the blues and swallow them too

My words are my faith to hell with our good name.
A remix of your guts-your insides X-rayed
And one day we'll get nostalgic for disaster
We're a bull, your ears are just a china shop

I love you in the same way, there's a chapel in a hospital
One foot in your bedroom and one foot out the door
Sometimes we take chances, sometimes we take pills.
I could write it better than you ever felt it.

So hum hallelujah,
Just off the key of reason
I thought I loved you
It was just how you looked in the light.
A teenage vow in a parking lot
"Till tonight do us part"
I sing the blues and swallow them too

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelu...
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelu...
(Hum hallelujah (Hum hallelujah), hum hallelujah (Hum hallelujah))

A teenage vow in a parking lot
"Till tonight do us part"
I sing the blues and swallow them too

So hum hallelujah,
Just off the key of reason
I thought I loved you
It was just how you looked in the light.
A teenage vow in a parking lot (Hum hallelujah)
"Till tonight do us part"
Love in a parking lot (Hum hallelujah)
"Till tonight do us part"
A teenage vow in a parking lot
"Till tonight do us part"
I sing the blues and swallow them too

ok yaiiz i'm bak againXD
kk so "till tonight do us part" is adapted from wedding vows "till death do us part"
so i'm not to sure about this but a young teenage fake"obsessive" love. maybe a one night stand idk
but the one thing that came to my head is the "tonight" adapted from "death" may be symbolic of death itself suicide maybe
i'm really not too sure. but thats how i see/hear it
CINDII OUT!! XD

I think they just wrote that song because they most likely go to church. They might go to church and they are aren't as bad as Slipknot, Papa Roach, Metallica and System of a Down.

"The road outside my house is paved with good intentions" is a reference to the road to heaven "the road to heaven is paved with good intentions", i think thats a bible verse in proverbs or something. "hired a construction crew" means that he cant get to heaven on his own, because "its hell on the engine" which means if he were all on his own, he'd go to hell, as the engine is metaphoric for himself. thats the only part of this song that seems to make sense to me, but its still a really awesome song.

ummm...so reckon this song is about young, crazy teenage luv. "a teenage vow in a parking lot, till tonight do us part" after a movie or something basically saying i'll luv you until i cant luv you any more...till the end of the night luv the whole scripture/ shakespearish sort of style in the chorus. it really makes it unique one of my fave songs of all timeXD
i luv fob 4 eva
