Long lost words whisper slowly to me.
Still can't find what keeps me here.
When all this time I've been so hollow inside,
I know you're still there.
Watching me, wanting me.
I can feel you pull me down.
Fearing you, loving you.
I won't let you pull me down. [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/e/evanescence/haunted.html ]
Hunting you I can smell you - Alive
Your heart pounding in my head
Watching me, wanting me.
I can feel you pull me down.
Saving me, raping me.
Watching me.
Watching me, wanting me.
I can feel you pull me down.
Fearing you, loving you.
I won't let you pull me down.

What i think is that anything could haunt you. And with "fearing you, loving you... Saving me, raping me," to me is that what's ever is haunting you could play both sides of the fence. I agree to evenflow partly... Haunted doesn't necessarily mean you are haunted by the ghost per se... You are haunted by something you fear... Something you can't attain or something like that...
I think it's actually about a girl stuck in an old, abandoned mansion that starts falling apart. The ghosts of the people that died in the mansion are calling her to join them, but she's afraid to go with them.
