omg i started crying. its so sad, yet so beautiful. i love evanescence. this is the first time ive heard this song before. im glad she wrote a song dedicated to her sister :)

Her sister died, so she dedicated this song to her. She is explaining how since her sister left her mind is her new friend. In hopes that it is a dream, she "wakes up" and realizes is that it happened. She is also saying that pysch classes are crap and they won't help her!

This song means alot to me because i lost someone dear to me and this was her favorite song. She told me before she died that she made fake friends in her mind and that when i became her friend she was deeply torn between herself and her "inner self" (if you understand at all) She told me that when i became her friend she was dying inside and hat she didn't want to go on. She foun out a few days later that she had a bad cancer and soon died afterwards in my bed and in my arms. she was like a sister to me and i love her so much. Evanescence meant so much to her and when i went to her funeral i read her death note that she wished for me to sing this song so i did and i swear i eard a little girl laughing and then i felt it hit me in the stomach. it was her alughing and i saw her smiling at me. Thankyou so much Alison. R.I.P forever and watch over your family for their sake. i love you little sis.
