These lyrics don't talk of people as saviors of themselves or others, but of a savior, jesus christ, who is god come to this earth to save humanity from itself and sin once and for all. We cannot save ourselves, and god well knew this long ago. He provided us a way back to him from the clutches of the freewill he gave us and from our sin that was and is a direct result of that freewill to choose between life and death of the eternal spirit in which we all possess. True life and real peace begin at the moment we accept jesus christ into our hearts, and allow his spirit to direct our paths from not into eternity with god the father. Without his spirit we are merely souls tossed to and from in the wind with no direction or path to follow.

This song talks directly to those people who try to find different paths in life and those who wish to be saviors of another person who the entire human race. To "mr. Seeker", many people have done the same thing and it is very difficult to not follow someone in at least one respect. To "mr. Hero", if you walk the border between right and wrong in your actions, you will soon be replaced and your life will be forfeit. Be prepared for the consequences of your actions and choices. Life has only just started.
