sorry, but ATR is definately NOT a christian band. that is a complete rumor and in many interviews ive read with the band, when that question comes up, the response is "nope, not at all". although i do believe that some (if not all) the members are actually christians. phil has addressed the seemingly christian lyrics and has said he "just writes what comes to mind" and that the references and interpretations are coincidental.
FIRST OF ALL it's a christian band that sings about God...for example...songd like forever in your hands, not alone, and a song for the hopless... it doesn't take a genious to figure out WHO'S calling he needs and it's jesus's sacrifice. the burning in his heart is the temptation of sin...like he sais "i steel my nerves for temptations at hand

not trying to be a jerk but not every heavy metal band is about crap
a lot of these guys feel it with their hearts and play the sufferings christ went through by showing evberyone through song lol
I think its about a young man struggling with the addiction of lust. " I secretly crave, crave that scent again, still feel it pressing on my now, now with the onset, my flesh is weakening, I steal my neaves for tempations at hand again." This shows his addictions and tempations. The breakdown of the song -- "Not falling victim...see me through." is about the young mans battle, and he is making a point to stand against lust. and I think the chorus is about the young man trying to fight and God is the calling, reaching him and pullinghim away from his sin. thats just what i think.
