Pretty much the overall meaning behind this song is how he was in a relationship with a girl and it suddenly ended. And now since they aren't together, he doesn't see the joy in anything anymore. Everything is just plain to him, there is no more happiness. He misses her and greatly wishes to have her back in his life again. Towards the end of the song he says he knows she will a beautiful life with somebody else, but he wishes she would be with him.

This song is pretty much about Layne's addiction and struggle with drugs. When he says "I've tried to hide myself from what is wrong for me" shows that he was trying to be sober, but in the end we all know he didn't succeed. And other parts of the song show reasons as to why he abuses drugs.

This song is definitely about Billie Joe's wife, Adrienne. She is from Minnesota and he met her at one of his shows, and ever since then he has loved her. Now they have two kids together, Joey and Jakob. They are even still married to this day and celebrated their 20th anniversary last year.

I personally feel that this song is about a guy who loves a girl and would do pretty much anything for her. He excepts her for all that she is and all of her little flaws. Since Chris sings "you're skin and bones turned into something beautiful," maybe he means that she's had trouble with loving how she looks, and he is reassuring her that she is beautiful in every way possible. For some reason, I don't know why, I get a kind of sad vibe from this song. But, it is still one of my favorites.

This song is about a couple, and he knows he let her down. He excepts the fact that he made multiple mistakes and that she deserves better. But, he is still beaten up and upset about not having her anymore after she leaves. He is mostly upset because he felt a huge connection with her that he hasn't felt with anyone else before and he knows he is the one that messed it all up.

This song is about a couple that is definitely not meant to be together. The girl lies and cheats on him, and won't admit to it. She says she loves him, but he can tell in the way she acts and treats him that she doesn't and that she is just toying with his emotions. But in the end, he doesn't want to be the one to break up with her because she is the one that caused all the problems and he believes it only makes since for her to finish it. Their relationship is definitely not happy or healthy for a fact.

Chester is saying that he has turned out just like the person he hates instead of himself, which makes him very upset. He gave up a part of him and replaced it with a piece of the other person instead.

I believe that this song is about his ex spouse, and how he can't stand the thought of her anymore. He has pure hatred towards her and wishes that she would just forget about all the times they had together. She mentally and emotionally changed who he was and he didn't like who he'd turned out to be afterward. His ex pretty much degraded him and he is saying that he is better off without her and doesn't want her around ever again.

This song is about Chester's struggle with drugs and how he was trying to quit. He also explains how when he was going into withdraw he was a very angry person and didn't understand why he would say or do the things that he did. He accepts the fact that his actions were wrong and admits to them, and how he doesn't really understand how became that way in the first place. But in the end, he breaks the habit.

I honestly for the longest time thought that this song was about self harming, and at the the time I could relate. But now that I've listened to it a lot more since then... I feel like it's just a good tune to listen to. Looking back I can see why I thought it was about self harm though, the chorus pretty much implies that. Or a tampon... Either one.

I'm guessing that this is about his spouse and how she has caused him a ton of pain and anger. She never tells the truth, and keeps blaming all of her lies on him instead of owning up to what she has done. And how he has figured out all of her lies, yet she still won't confess. She keeps hurting him over and over again, and taking all of the happiness that he had left.

This Deftones song is about a girl that he once loved. He is overall aware that he didn't treat her as good as he could've, and the result from that is that she completely changed into a new person. She is now happy with who she has become and being without him, but he misses the old her.

This song by Deftones is about wanting to get away, and not even caring where the destination is. He is very upset with his life at the moment and can't stand to stay in the same surroundings. He needs a change, the places he has been around forever are annoying him and reminding him of his past that he wishes not to remember. So anywhere is better than there for him.

This song is pretty much what almost every other Deftones song is about, sex. But the meaning to this song is that the two people are in love and are very happy with each other. They take great pleasure and feel fulfilled when making love. Both of them feel the exact same towards one another, they don't have one ounce of confusion as to how they feel.
