I no this is a strange interpretation. But it sooo makes sense. Woookay, I reckon that this is about a suicide pact that went wrong. Where the chick died but the guy didn't. Hence the medical s*t in the beggining. Lines such as 'Wake me up and let me know you're alive' and 'will you ever love again' could mean that he is saying please tell me that you are alive and that you can love again cause when ur dead you can't love. 'Another boy without a sharper knife' - where his knife wasnt 'sharp' enuf thus didn't dig deep enuf to kill him. 'How do you know how deep to go before it's real' - how deep do you have to dig with the knife before you know that its actually going to do something. 'To try a new life without you' - shes dead. 'When you're with me, You are my getaway' - whenever he remembers her he feels as though he escapes. 'But I couldn't let you go - No, I never let you go my dear' hes thinking of killing himself cause he can't live without her. Lol I know its rong but it just made me think of that and reminded me of 'three days grace - its not to late\'.
