Explanation
"
Here I stand,
Helpless and left for dead.
Close your eyes,
So many days gone by.
Easy to find what's wrong,
Harder to find what's right
This a song that Breaking Benjamin created for people out there with problems, this song is an inspiration to those who wants to change from dark to light. This song is a great example of an inspiration.

Meaning
I suggest that this song is about people wanting to fit in and forcing themselves to fit in, but this song is telling people out there to be who you are, you don't have to pretend to be someone you're not. If you weren't able to look in the mirror and see what you really are, just let yourself out there so people can see who you really are.

Either of the band member had someone they fell in love with but wanted to know whether they liked him back so probably this song is complying a love or some they lost and wanted to find out whether they were dear to them.

Let say this song was said to be the love story of one of the band members. Same as boy meets girl and falls in love but the twist is that she doesn't shows whether she loves him or not. After an accident, the feeling of defeat might have came over and tries to find out whether she loves him, hence the line try to find my place in the Diary of Jane. Wanting to yet couldn't because the obstacles he might have faced or the difficulties trying to find out, hence the line something's staying in the way. And with the emotional build that he might have faced would have almost overfilled, hence the line something's just about to break. Or could have been possibly someone who was dear to him and he wanted to see whether he was dear to them, might find the answer within her diary.

This song is an inspiration to people out there with problems, even if you live in a world so gloomy, so depressing, there is always hope. There might be some difficulties and obstacles in the way, but this songs says do not give up, one may even bare a sin, but wants to get out of the dark world. The line as we dance with the devil may suggest that the devil doesn't wants you to leave, or more like to face the devil to leave and start a new life to and to purify his sin.

Centuries, this song has it's name thrown out there. As the line quotes, some legends are told, some turns to dust or to gold, either this song would be remembered or forgotten. There's a chance that they want to be remembered until their name is all over the world, or they would like to be one to be remembered as a great memory of the past but wants to last, hence the line, you're a cherry blossom, about to bloom, you look so pretty, but gone to soon.

My suggestion of this song it that there is a boy that fell in love with someone but wanted to know what he was in her life, wanting to know but never got the chance, hence the line, "something's getting in the way," and the emotional build that he is having, hence the line, "something's just about to break," or could have possibly someone who was dear to him but wanted to find if he was dear to them, hence the line, "I will try to find my place, in the Diary Of Jane," and wanting to be with them, hence the line, "If I had to, I would put myself beside you," or possibly he wanted to give up, yet turning back and hoping for a chance of love with her. No matter what the cost, he is willing to find what is his place within her life, hence the line, "As I burn another page, As I turn the other way, I still try to find my place in the Diary Of Jane."
