I thought this song waas about a bad ended relationship because he says "she" not "it" but my ex left me without telling me and got engage to his ex and I was the last to know I had to hear it from a friend and when I heard this song I thought it was damn accurate. I don't believe meanings from fans I believe them if they come out of the person who wroe the lyrics.

Adam's first love (and all of ours) had/has lied about being happy with him and cheated on him (probably), therefore lieing and leaving adam for someone else. And since a liar and a cheater never stops: adam describes not caring in the end and feeling sorry for the other man who will be lied and cheated on as well, and will be the last to know until its too late: therefore she will leave the other man before he even knows what happens. And it will be an endless cycle. Of course this was his first love.

This song to me is about physical love. I cn relate to this song very much. I was with the love of my life but then people would start rumors that I was cheating on her when I was totally not. The day b4 we broke up I was told by my friends that she has been cheating on me 4 a while. I was totally enraged nd I looked back at our time together and it was horrible. I realized it was my worst love.

The song is not directed at his girlfriend, it is directed at the guy who stole her from him. He's saying he lied and stole her from him, that she left him helpless and lost but in the end he realizes she was never good for him, and warns the other guy that sh will leave him like she did with him, and he won't see it coming.

The beginning sounds like a mix between drugs and a relationship, she was on drugs and oded, she didn't tell him she was still doing it and he has nowhere to go, it was the reason they fought (you were the first to say that we were not okay) you being the drug she being his girl You(the drug) made her happy when things werent okay(first to lie when things were not alright), and when she left meaning she died, he felt like he was last to know. Then the ending is like a warning about the drugs.

About this song I gotta say no comment!
Lots of people are suffering from this bad situation (leaving without no reason) but this song or these lyrics found the medicine which is time by time and after that the love of the leaving girl isn't interesting anymore and her love is the worst love I've got even if she loves someone near to you and I don't know you guys but I gotta say I suffered two times like this. Nowadays true & honest love is so rare, hard to find and a girl leaving you is less pain than a girl (you love) cheating on you. Cheating is so painful :(.
