This song is basically just about how life in general is just a big disappointment for him and he has lost all belief that life is at all worthwhile, but he still can remeber some of the good times before when he still had optimism toward life. And then in the song he says how like life is just a long wait for a hospital stay cause many people end up in the hospital and then die, and all their life before that was just leading up to that. Its really a sort of depressing song when you think about it but that doesn't stop me from loving it, its just so touching even if its in a sad way, I think anyways. And ya if it reminds you of someone that you loved that makes it even better.

This song practically describes my life. It's such an amazing song, for such an amazing band. My chem mean more to me than my own life and without them I literally wouldn't be here today. I owe them so much. It's amazing how much I can relate to their music and how much it has helped me. Mikey, gerard, ray and frank set out to help people like me and that is exactly what theyre doing. Honestly, for someone to tell you that you saved their life must be the most amazing feeling in the world, and I am so forever grateful for what they did for me. This song is just plain amazing.

I can relate to this song so much and I love it its got such an amazing tune and the lyrics are so beautiful, however depressing they may be. Anyway to understand this song fully you kinda need some back story from the whole album so basically the black parade is a concept album about a character referred to as 'the patient', he is dying from cancer and the whole album is about his last period of time on earth, this song is based toward the end of the album when he is nearing death, this song is about him completely losing interest in life, becoming 'disenchanted' by it. He doesn't see the point in his life anymore, despite any time he ever felt any optimism about it. This song is beautiful and Gerard is such a wordsmith and the whole band, even though it is gone now (*cries*), helped so many people and created some beautiful songs yeah I don't even know what I'm talking about anymore so bye I'm gonna shut up.

Okay this time in not writing the meaning. I'm putting something out there. For anyone who thinks I'm emo because of how I look or the scars on my wrists of the music I listen to, well you should f*k off. Yea I'm a 14 year old with bright red hair who wears black every day. You shoulnd judge me for whati look like, as a matter of fact you shouldnt judge me at all. I don't care if no one reads this, as long as its out thre I'm happy. I'm not emo!
