    Personally, I think it means, she got to a cross roads in life, saw the path that was easy to take and instead took a path that would be more of a challenge or different. And maybe that meant she left where she was, so stories of her were whispered when she had gone. And that you need to find something to live for else what's the point? And she met someone who she fell for, looked at her like she was the only one. In short, about a journey through a part of her life, dreams end, so treasure each moment and because the good times can help you through the bad.

    Judging by her facial expressions, it is a song about how temporary and rare happiness can be. Unless there is someone to keep you in the light, you will fall back into the darkness that lurks just behind us.
