I don’t intend to be offensive with my lyrics
But I’m intensely interested in saying bye to this
Misunderstanding and exclusion of my people
Who just wanna cruise along as equals
Can’t think of much worse so there’s no resistance
For the neurodiverse who thirst for coexistence
A disrespected spectrum holds the freshest perspective
But it’s imprisoned by the visions of it being neglected

I put this letter together for all that confine it
With our minds purified we could redefine it
Either let it control you and burn you inside
Or you can embrace it and wear it with pride

There’s plenty of oppression in this society
With so many of them stressing from anxiety,
Succumbing to depression, contemplating suicide
Eight times more pressurised to take their own lives
There’s no excuse for these young men and women
Who are used to abuse when they’re just beginning
It’s too easy to get tired, hit the bench and give in
So I hope I inspire them to find strength within

We’ll forever be for better if we redefine it
It’s a lifelong battle to be won
But also a gift so present it like one

Autism is a massive piece of their identities.
But it won’t put a dent in their hopes and dreams
While it might be some have special needs
Acceptance is the first step in achieving peace
Progressing recognition’s insufficient
So improving their position is my mission
By removing the confusion that’s surrounding the condition
We could help the underprivileged with more than just ambitions
On their quest to make things work they might question their worth
And be puzzled by the struggles of the hustle from birth
But if we all focus on virtues and champion our quirks
Without reserve we can contribute to a deserved Earth
