Josh Groban – You Raise Me Up lyrics
When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.

You raise me up... To more than I can be.

    This song is one of the best inspirational songs I appreciate a lots. It is full of deep thoughts that I can not just exhaust. It describes the perfect work of redemption of our Lord Jesus Christ. He called us out so as to reflect his glorious victory. To dominate and take charge, not to live a life of defeat but of victory in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah! I just love it!

    This is the song that my dad and I are going to dance to at my wedding for the Father, Daughter dance. It is such a beautiful song and everytime I hear it, it makes me want to cry because that's how I feel for my friends and family. It was like Josh took the words right out of my mouth and put them into a beautiful song that only he can sing and make anyone cry their eyes out. Josh Groban is an amazing singer and actor (if you've ever seen him in Chess the Musical) and he is my all time favorite singer in the whole world. My whole family loves this song and I sing it all the time without even realizing it because I love it so much. I sang this song for my boyfriend (now fiance) on our 2 year aniversery and we both cryed. When I was done singing and everyone was done wiping away tears, he got down on his knee and popped the question and ofcourse I said "YES!" This song means alot to me. I love Josh Groban (and it doesn't hurt that he's pretty cute)!

    True, He cares for us, and desires us to cast all our cares upon Him.
    True again, He loved us while we far off and as yet dead in our sin.
    But He has loved us even enough to send His own Son to pay the ransom for us, to atone for our sin, and it is only through believing in Him Whom the Father sent that we can even have the hope of one day standing in His presence.
    "For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse."

    This is all about Christ, the Lord. We do our best to face the challenges of this life, but the grace of Christ carries us when our souls are weary. It reminds me of the story of only one set of footprints in the sand when we are at our most troubled: It's because the Lord is carrying us on His shoulder, not just walking beside us. It's a beautiful and moving song. Faith in Christ enables us to be more than we can be walking alone.

    The song perfectly describes the loss to death, of a very special mate - your forever love whom you long to see once more. It brings on the tears as you recall the many very special times you had together and will no longer be able to share in the flesh.

    According to me it is a song describe to a girl by the writer [a girl whom the writer really loves a lot]. Anyway it's good and heart touching too I seriously love it. I came to know about this song in our school annual day. One of my senior girl sang this song. My mind was blown off by the lyrics of this song and I feel like hearing it again and again. I am sure that I will sing this song one day.

    A truly meaningful song and one of the most phenomenal that I have ever heard. The lyrics are deep and thoughtful and although it doesn't contain many words within a single line but each paragraph carries a thousand meaning. Josh Groban delivered it perfectly and it touched many peoples' hearts. I love this song a lot and to have it being sung by Josh is an icing on the cake.

    Ntombi is correct because we sit on the shoulders of the maker of the universe and th lyrics is also for mothers and teachers because they raise us up so we can stand on our own and to take care of our selves to learn about the things we need to and to pray to god to help us to guide throughour the day and to lift us when we need to go.

    This beautiful song, regardless which artist is singing, immediately brings to mind Jesus Christ, who will carry our burdens and even us when we need strength only He can give. As in several Bible passages I also see another interpretation, applying to very special people in life who love and lift us up and truly inspire. Beautiful song. Thank you for writing and sharing it.

    This sing touches me personally right down to the core. During my bad times I was having a couple of weeks ago (my two best friends died, family problems, friend drama, stress) I played this song over and over and over and it just really helped me thru them. Josh groan is inspiring, all knowing, and just a great guy. His songs have helped me thru so many things that I didn't think I could get thru.

    This song is the best song in the world. It has very few words and it repeats but the song has more life and meaning than any other that I have listen to. Me and my sister love this song I can only hear it every once in a while because it makes me want to cry. This is so a father daughter dance and I know for a fact it will be played at my wedding this is truly music to my ears and every one else who likes slow powerful and of course who knows what music is kind of a person.
