Guns N' Roses – Chinese Democracy lyrics

It don't really matter
You're gonna find out for yourself
No it don't really matter
You're gonna leave this thing to somebody else

If they were missionaries
Real time visionaries
Sitting in a Chinese stew
To view my this-in-fat-you-ation

I know that I'm a classic case
Watch my disenchanted face
Blame it on the Falun Gong
They've seen the end and it can't hold on now

'Cause it would take a lot more hate than you
To end the fascination
Even with an iron fist
All they got to rule the nation
When all I've got is precious time

It don't really matter
Guess I'll keep it to myself
Said it don't really matter
It's time I look around for somebody else

'Cause it would take a lot more time than you
Have got for masturbation
Even with your iron fist
All they got to rule the nation
When all we got is precious time
All they got to fool the nation
When all I got is precious time

It don't really matter
I guess you'll find out for yourself
No it don't really matter
So you can hear it now from somebody else

You think you got it all locked up inside
And if you beat 'em enough they'll die
It's like a walk in the park from a cell
And now you're keeping your own kind in hell
When your great wall rocks blame yourself
While their arms reach up for your help
And you're out of time

The falun gong are a chinese religious group who's teachings of meditation and spirituality are similar to budhaism. In the 90s the chinese government outlawed the group saying they were heretical. It is suspected that they only did this because they saw them as a political threat due to their size. The falun gong was the start of the governments nazi like actions to many chinese people. Followers of the faith were hunted down and placed in camps whig were a cross between gwantanimo bay and aushwitz. Thus the line now your keeping your own kind in hell and blame it on the falun gong.

Google "45 declared goals of communism" written in 1963. Most of the goals have already come to pass. Right under everyone's nose.
It's about the quiet communist takeover of the western world. The "irrational fear of communism" in the '50s cold war era has become such a trendy topic the last few years. Hasn't it?
There is a reason for that.
The western world is quietly transforming from a capitalist republic into a communist dictatorship.
Chinese democracy is communism. Plain and simple.

People shouldn't fear the government, it's the government that should fear the people. If a government keeps denying its people of the freedoms they deserve (esp. If the gov tortures, kills those who demand for freedom/speak against the gov), the government will crumble within a matter of time. Sure, the government can gain some control by monitoring the media and by selling its propaganda, but such tyranny cannot last. The government will collapse under the protest of its people sooner or later; it's only a matter of time, and all I've got is precious time.

I could be mistaken, but given my background in modern music and lyrical studies at the Oberlin College conservatory of music for the past 6 years; I believe that Guns n' Roses is trying to get the message across that their experiences in China enlightned them into understanding problems in our own society. The band realizes that China uses pure man power and intimidation "iron fist" to govern. America has always beeen the opposite of that but we are becoming more and more like the chinese, "It don't really matter
I guess you'll find out for yourself" They are pointing out that we are straying to far from our traditional American way and it will become our demise.

Went to china back in may ('08), its an extremely fake country. Anyways, there is no question in my mind that they will have economic power over the rest of the world in a few decades at most, and will not know what to do with that power. What are the odds a leader directs/unites them with less-than-stellar intentions (Hitler-esque)? I don't f*****g know.
Also I don't think these lyrics are 100% accurate. Where's the f*****g quality-checking on this website? For instance, I think it goes, "You think we're missionaries..." which changes the entire meaning of the song.
