Bullet For My Valentine – Bittersweet Memories lyrics

You turn me off at the push of a button,
And you pretend that I don't mean nothing
.
I'm not a saint, that's easy to tell,
But guess what, honey, you ain't no angel
.

You like to scream these words as a weapon,
Well go ahead, take your best shot, woman
.
I wanna leave you, it's easy to see,
But guess what, honey, it's not that easy
.

We get so complicated. (Complicated! )
This finger's for our memories.

So rip my pictures from your wall.
Tear them down and burn them all.
Light the fire and walk away.
There's nothing left to say so

Take the ashes from the floor,
Bury them to just make sure
That nothing more is left of me.
Just bittersweet memories.

Memories... ahh...

I wanna run and escape from your prison,
But when I leave I feel like something is missing.
I'm not afraid, that's easy to tell.
This can't be heaven, it feels like I'm in hell.

You're like a drug that I can't stop taking.
I want more & I can't stop craving.
I still want you, it's easy to see,
But guess what, honey, you're not that good for me.

We get so complicated. (Complicated! )
This finger's for our memories.

So rip my pictures from your wall.
Tear them down and burn them all.
Light the fire and walk away.
There's nothing left to say so

Take the ashes from the floor,
Bury them to just make sure
That nothing more is left of me,
Just bittersweet memories.
Just bittersweet memories.

We get so complicated. (Complicated! )
This finger's for our memories.
We get so complicated. (complicated, complicated...)

So rip my pictures from your wall.
Tear them down and burn them all.
Light the fire and walk away.
There's nothing left to say so

Take the ashes from the floor,
Bury them to just make sure
That nothing more is left of me,
Just bittersweet memories.

Woah oh oh oh (x3)
There's nothing left to say
Woah oh oh oh (x3)
There's nothing left to say

In my opinion this sng was writter from someone to someone else who he or she really loved, but by the time their relationship started to coplicate more and more. He/she really wanted to over him/her but he/she couldn't. Beacause beeing with him or her he/she felt full complete and loved the way they were together. But this could work so it didn't end nice and in the end nothing left only bittersweet memories.

I think this song is clearly a relationship. And, the guy knows & fels it should be over with but he still loves her & needs her in his life. They fight, she screams, but it doesn't really do much to him because all his feelings are gone except love. He wants all the physical memories of him gone, except the memories in her head, which were the good & the bad. & though he wants to leave, he can't. Just like abusive relationships when they still feel love while their mate is beating them, & they don't want to leave them. Just my thought.

I think it's more about resignation than anything. Sure, it can be about any old break-up, too. But something about the lyrics and tone of this song make me think "okay, so they're both sort of done with their relationship, yet they still love each other. What to do from there? Absolutely nothing. They just let it be, because they're too scared of living without each other to find out. So they leave each other be, and live blissfully unhappy. The end. "
yay. Anyway, I adore this song, whether my interpretation is correct or not.

Being in a poisonous relationship, where there is so much love, but so much hate. And you know you should leave, that it's best for both of you, but you can't help thinking of those now bittersweet memories you shared, and all the good times. Yet you don't even know where to begin to fix the problems though, so you just leave even though you feel so empty without that person. Even though you miss them everyday, it doesn't matter, because things are too complicated, they're beyond repair. And no matter what your feelings are, even if you both secretly love each other, you bury it because there's too much pain, too many things said and done, that you can't pretend it never happened. So you throw all their stuff away, because by doing that you think maybe, just maybe, it'll make it easier to stop loving them.

Although you might love someone with all your heart, and they love you as well, sometimes you must separate yourselves from each other. When you love someone with a once-in-a-lifetime love, they will distract you from doing what you need to. Although you make each other happy, you find true joy when you are separated for a time to find yourself. You can't love another properly until you reach full joy on your own.

This is my favorite song right now because it summerizes the entirety of my last relationship. Pretty much it's about a couple that was once in love but something or maybe even someone, is tearing them apart and the guy feels he has to let go. It's hard for him to do because he really loved the girl and knows the girl loves him but, he feels it's for his own good. After he breakups with her, he is haunted by all the "bittersweet memories" that they shared because he knows they had an amazing relationship, and he also knows he has hurt her really bad. Still, he thinks he's better off and continues on with his life without her.

I think that they both knew it was bad and finally he left; the partner was mad and tried to get rid of the memories by. ; " so rip my pictures from your wall. Tear them down, burn them all. Light the fire, walk away. There's nothing left to say so take the ashes from the floor, bury them to just make sure that nothing more is left of me, just bittersweet memories. "

The meaning of this song is deeper then just a bad realtionship. This song is perfect for my life right now. This song is talking about how no matter how bad someone is for you, if you love them, you'll still want to be with them. Unfortuanatly that's not whats best and you need to let the person go if they are no good for you. That's what I did.

I believe that this song represents a bad relationship. The two people loved each other, but they had a bad relationship, they would fight which made their relationship complicated, just like it says in the song. Eventually, they know they need to be apart from each other and move on. And I think that this song is talking about the two people moving on from each other. Saying that all they have left are their "bittersweet memories".

This song means something more then just one thing, there's so much hurt I went through, just t make this on guy happy, all my energy went to thiis, the feel he gave me, never left, and this song, shows I can just walk away, he doesn't need anything but a bittersweet memory of me. I have nothing left to hear, and he shouldn't have anything left to say. Because there's nothing but a sweet goodbye.

I was in a relationship and she was my own brand of heroin. Thanks to her mum I've lost that brand and I can't find a replacement. I mis her like hell because our relationship is too complicated. After the rape I suffered everything just went down hill but this song helps so much. Its so loud I can't think but its helping me so much with bottling all these emotions up.
