Al Martino – The Story Of Tina lyrics
The story of tina began in the spring time
When tina was sweet seventeen.
The boy said he loved her and she gave a promise
The truest that ever has been.

And then came the wedding one morning in may
And still they are sweethearts
Though years roll away
The story of tina is loves grand adventure
As sweet as a love song can be
The story of tina and me

Musical interlude

And then came the wedding one morning in may
And still they are sweethearts
Though years roll away
The story of tina is loves grand adventure
As sweet as a love song can beee
The story of tina and meee

Hi, The Story of Tina is a great song. I learnt the melody from my dad playing his saxophone and would love to get to the chords for this wonderful song. Been searching the net but can't seem to find the chords or tab for this song. Would appreciate if you could help me with the music chords. Thanks.

    Helene
The original song was called "Helene" in the 1950's from the word for Greece as it was written as a patriotic one. The history of its origin was once on Internet too but I do not seem to be able to Google it? It always reminds me of a school pal playing it for us in the school hostel we were boarded at in Ceylon in about 1950. Some of the words were: "The stars light the sky for, the song birds they sigh for, ?? The brook gently playing, the lilac tree swaying, one word they keep saying, Helene. I think of you only, Oh where can you be." I learnt to play it by "ear" and have just done so today. I may have written the words in an old song book which I must look for as I love to sing and play it on my piano as it brings back so many happy memories of my childhood, even though I was away from home and my parents in familiar surroundings. In the evenings especially as we watched the sun sinking, I used to really miss them and being able to climb into my own bed in my own home. To me "Tina" will always be "Helene".
