This song brings me to tears as I've lost so many close friends due to addiction and the struggles I've fought myself this song and I apologize are two songs by 5fdp I can so relate to.Ive learned threw lif s challenges that no matter how bad the situation there's always hope.Today I'm little Bit Off

According to guitarist Zoltan Bathory, Ivan Moody was writing many of the songs on the F8 album while undergoing struggles with alcoholism, so the lyrics have to do with that, and the fear that he might not make it through. Many musicians and artists they knew died while trying to deal with addictions. However, the lyrics (said Bathory) were intentionally vague enough that they could be applied to a variety of situations.

I think for the band its maybe a song for a distressed solider who is going to commit suicide, ( my opinion) it seems like a letter.

For me its suicide letter, something I'd leave behind,
(When the lights go out) ( if I'm gone tomorrow)
But remember my good and who I am
( take the best part of me, locked away without the keys)
