If you notice things aren't what they seem
I drink to give you less meaning
You're my Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Without you it's always Monday

So don't walk away
I'm sure the pain will go away

Heather, I think we had a strong love
Under the garbage we can't rise above
And I heard a knock
Oh it was you
Since you've been gone you have no idea what I've been through

So don't walk away
Just stay, give me one more day

I'm frozen
My eyes on the ceiling
I can't breathe when I've this feeling
So goodbye, this dance is over.
I'm so sad I won't be the one to hold her

Yeah don't, don't walk away
Just stay. Give me one more day
Just give me one more day
And I heard a knock
Oh, it was you

I lost my daughter when I was 23 years old as I was young uneducated and had a son at 17. I married her father one month before she was born, we split soon as he left the service. I was a housewife so after he left me with nothing I felt it was best to let her go with her father. She was three. I didn't realize I had lost her forever but that's what happened. She's 28 now with her own family but wants nothing to do with me because of personal traumatic reasons that weren't my fault and no one knew he was abusing her :( This song speaks volumes of the tragegy that broke our bond. Her name is Heather. This song touches my soul and heart. It's never been released but feel like it was written for me and my beautiful precious daughter. I will love you baby girl until my very last breath.
