Yesterday I died, tomorrow's bleeding
Fall into your sunlight
The future's open wide beyond believing
To know why hope dies
Losing what was found, a world so hollow
Suspended in a compromise
The silence of this sound is soon to follow
Somehow sundown

And finding answers
Is forgetting all of the questions we called home
Passing the graves of the unknown

As reason clouds my eyes, with splendor fading
Illusions of the sunlight
And the reflection of a lie will keep me waiting
Love gone for so long

This day's ending is the proof of time killing all the faith I know
Knowing that faith is all I hold

And I've lost who I am
And I can't understand
Why my heart is so broken
Rejecting your love
Without love gone wrong
Life
Less words
Carry on

But I know
All I know
Is that the ends beginning

Who I am from the start
Take me home to my heart
Let me go
And I will run
I will not be silenced

All this time spent in vain
Wasted years
Wasted gain
All is lost
Hope remains
And this war's not over

There's a light
There's the sun
Taking all the shattered ones
To the place we belong
And his love will conquer

And I've lost who I am
And I can't understand
Why my heart is so broken
Rejecting your love
Without love gone wrong
Life
Less words
Carry on

But I know
All I know
Is that the ends beginning

Who I am from the start
Take me home to my heart
Let me go
And I will run
I will not be silenced

All this time spent in vain
Wasted years
Wasted gain
All is lost
Hope remains
And this war's not over

There's a light
There's the sun
Taking all the shattered ones
To the place we belong
And his love will conquer all
Yes his love will conquer all

Yesterday I died, tomorrows bleeding
Fall into your sunlight

Its that even without the ability to love anymore after so many heartbreaks, it doesn't mean that a miracle cannot happen to do. I think that their lost, and their heart is broken, and he doesn't want to accept any love but doesn't know that, and he knows everything is only just beginning to literally end on him, and to me he thinks god may be able to save him from it. But I don't believe in god all that much really so i'll just say its about learning to repair yourself from me!

The guy left everything he loved. Everything he had, and everything he had. He thought it was the right choice but now he can't understand why it hurts so much. He is teared in two part: the part of him that wants to go back but knows it's not possible and the other who still want to go on the path he's chosen, driven by the hope that made him leave in the first place. The hope to find something better at the end. That's why he is shattered. The war that's is going on is in his head, his choices. He doesn't know what he should do. His love keeps him from moving on and going on the life he'd chosen but his will tells him to run and going on without looking back. He secretely hope that someone, something will save him. Love and hope remain.

I'm not sure if he intended this but it does sound like (the second half) that he's nearly dead/dying and he's refering to heaven and god. "why my heart is so broken rejecting your love" god's love, the ends begging explaining he's dying, take me home to my heart (heaven) all this time spent in vain wasted years wasted gain, (it makes sence if he kind of turned away from god but now he's dying and thinking of his life and if heaven is real) there's a light there's the sun taking all the shattered ones to the place we belong and his love will conquer (that definatly sounds like heaven). I'm just saying this because I would relate, like rejecting god but then thinking of heaven etc.

What I personally get from this song is the recovery from addiction. How you lose it all to find yourself again. I feel like it's about discovery yourself and regaining faith to whatever it is you believe. Its the light at the end of the tunnel. May I see all of that because I am in recovery but, for me it reminds me that the war isn't over. It never will be but there is hope and faith and it does get better.

Yesterday everything fell away and nothing good looks like it's coming in the future. Sure, he *knows* things will get better, but does it really feel that way? No. Not even close. Faith is dying because everything looks so hopeless, and he's angry at god. He doesn't understand why these bad things are happening to him, and he wants to believe but is having trouble. All he has to do is turn back and he'll be saved, but he's not ready yet. God is, though, whenever the singer is.
