This song was about someone who had fallen in love with someone and then she started dating him. And then one day they had broken up and now Taylor Swift is telling how she or other people felt once they've broken up with someone they love. It would also be able to show the stages of what someone goes through during relationships, so in the beginning Taylor Swift talks about how it feels when your with that person most of the time, and in the middle and end of the song she talks about how it feels once you break up with that special person and the emotions you go or would go through when your not with him/her anymore. This is basically what any person would go through. This is what I think the song means in my own words. If you have any corrections to make about this meaning of the song please comment below and also tell me what you thought about the it. If it's good please tell me and if it isn't well then I'm really sorry if it wasn't what you wanted. Have a great day guys and girls or men and women.

This song is about someone explaining how the love of their life was like. It journeys through the different experience of a couples life into the break up stage, when one is forced to let go. Taylor tries to explain how it felt like to love him and how it felt to loose him and have to let go. This song has great meaning and potential. It shows that love is strong and the use of similes is remarkable. Through work and effort you can make a relationship last, but it can be broken and these lyrics are the pieces of the shattered glass being brought together. Astonishing, in my opinion.

For me this song is about a girl comparing her love to the man, how she felt when she lose him, missing the man, trying to forget the man, and how the girl truly loved the man that she couldn't be away with him. I also think that she compares love and It's stages to such words that are most likely impossible to feel.

In my opinion this song is about a girl who falls in love with a wrong guy and then broke up. Taylor swift is telling that girls feelings very nicely through her words. This song also portrays the stages of their relationship. This is what I think is the basic or literal meaning of this song.
