[Verse 1 (Matt)]
I watch you undress
I wanna watch you glow
Let your hair down
All around, cover us both
You come in waves
We crash and we roll
You surround me, pull me, drown me, then swallow me whole

[Chorus (Both):]
You turn, turn, turn, turning me on(
Like a slow fire burn (
I know that it's wrong(
Still I run, run, run, run right into you(
Yeah, I run, run, run, run right into you

[Verse 2 (Jennifer):]
You pull me in close(
You buckle my knees(
I shake and I shiver just to feel you breathe(
You trace my lines
((I trace your lines)(
Stirring my soul(
Shoot sparks at the heart of the world and I watch it explode(
(I watch you, I watch you)

[Chorus (Both):]
You turn, turn, turn, turning me on(
Like a slow fire burn (
I know that it's wrong(
Still I run, run, run, run right into you(
Yeah, I run, run, run, run right into you

[Hook:]
[Matt]
I'm pacing
And you're beside me
I am so much more
[Jennifer]
And I feel your fingers
Pound like thunder
And I am so much more
[Matt]
I am so much more

[Chorus (Both):]
Turn, turn, turn, turning me on(
Like a slow fire burn (
I know that it's wrong(
Still I run, run, run, run right into you(
Yeah, I run, run, run, run right into you

Turn, turn, turn, turning me on(
Like a slow fire burn (
I know that it's wrong(
Still I run, run, run, run right into you(
Yeah, I run, run, run, run right into you
Still I run, run, run, run right back to you
[Jennifer]
Turning me on
[Matt]
Like a slow fire burn

Everybody reads into the meaning so negatively -- this song is definitely about two people who are deeply intimate with each other but they realize their love is not enough for either of them. Because of that intimacy they cannot pull away cuz their entire minds and bodies know each other so well. Unfortunately everyone thinks lust, love and s** are the whole relationship, but what everyone needs is the intimacy factor. Most people in their lifetime are not lucky enough to have that. Hence affairs, divorce, breakups.

Way to many songs about s** and affairs, and this appears to be another one of them. As a society, s** with someone other than your spouse or s** outside a marraige seems to be esteemed and often portrayed as some wonderful experience that everyone should have. What happend to one and one woman and the beauty of a committed relationship. I've been on the other end-the one cheated on, and it has brought more pain than you can imagine to everyone-including the cheaters.

This song for me is a reminder of a time past that I experienced the most wonderful and exciting love of my life. It was a forbidden love with my soul mate. It has since ended but we still want each other. This song takes me back to making love to him. We still live in the same town so we do on occasion run into each other. It is like a magnetic pull when this happens. We know its wrong to feel this way, but we know that it is 100% true love.

This song would be great if it weren't for one line "i know that it's wrong. " that can only refer to a handful of things. Most have interpreted an affair. You might interpret homosexuality, but this is somewhat country and a homosexual would not admit it to be wrong anyway. That only leaves a couple who is not married and keeps breaking up and getting back together. I believe it refers to the latter because nobody would seriously make a song with so much positive imagery about an affair. A couple breaking up and getting back together is just so much more common. I could name a dozen people I know that live like that.

What if it isn't about an affair. What if it's about losing yourself so deeply into someone you love. Knowing that you shouldn't let yourself go that much, but unwilling to help yourself. Haven't you ever been so deeply in love with someone, leaving yourself vulnerable, giving yourself over so completely, and not being able to stop? Leaving yourself so completely open is hard for some. They hold back, even if married, so as to not feel so much hurt if it ends. But sometimes, you just can't help yourself.
