I think it's time for a change
'Cause things feel out of touch
And I watch you walk,
Away again

Well this feels like to much (Can you take it away?)
And things won't go my way
Now I have to fade,
Away my friend

So pass slowly!
And carry me down!
And render me lonely!
When you're not around!

I need to shake off this pain
But courage takes too much!
So I have to walk,
Away again

Oh God, I miss your touch! (Can you take it way?)
The way you keep me safe
I won't let you fade
Away my friend

So pass slowly!
And carry me down!
Remember me only!
When you're not around!

Oh, yeah!
Can't you stay a while longer?
Oh, yeah!
Won't you stay?
God, please stay!

And pass slowly! (It's time for a change)
And whittle me down! ('Cause things feel out of touch)
And render me lonely! (I watch you walk, away again)
When you're not around!

So pass slowly! (Feels like to much)
And let me down easy! (And things won't go my way)
And render me lonely! (Now I have to fade, away my friend)
When you're not around!

I just lost my Aunty to cancer and altho most people think that one would have time to say goodbye, not so in our case she was only diagnosed on the 2nd February 2014 and passed away so fast leaving us on the 4th of March 2014, most of us did not get a chance to say goodbye as she deteriorated so fast. I would have liked to have spent the last month telling her how much she meant to me but living in another country didn't give us that option. I know that wishing someone would pass slowly is something everyone would wish that they could do let alone not letting them go at all and wishing that my Aunty B had passed slower is one that I wish but I also know that fast for her was a good thing as she isn't in pain any longer, I have listened to this song repeatably the last 3 days and thought of how I wished I had been given that chance to tell her I loved her one more time.

This was actually written about his brother, but, it is very symbolic for any close person that you have to you that is having issues.

Hard to let it go, hard to live with it! Is the contraposition inside every person who love something or someone, but cant accept that it's better off!

My 29 year old brother past away. We played this song as he was carried out of the church. I feel it was a very fitting song, as we weren't ready to let go, he was so young. We just wanted him to stay, but he was taken away tragically & there was so much we didn't get to say. I totally feel & get this song.
